Well then, you need to teach everyone else how to do it. I hate being redirected, and it always takes so long for the other tab to load.

 

I use the photobucket direct link and it seems to enlarge it

 

Yes thats exactly what i do..

Uploading a Photo from photobucket for dummies

Step 1: Upload your photo to photobucket (to whatever album you want)
Step 2: Open photobucket in your web browser
Step 3: Choose the photo in which you would like to post on the forums
Step 4: On the right hand side. Copy the "Direct Link" html under where it says Share Links
Step 5: Select the image button in the reply box (to the right of smiley face), and past link
Step 6: Click insert.. and boom, you have successfully uploaded a picture from photobucket that will enlarge upon clicking.

**please note i do all my uploading from a laptop, im not sure if it is different for people who do it on their phone as i have never attempted that.**

 

The key to not being redirected is Step #5. Do not paste the link directly into the body section of your post. Instead, make sure to use the Image Button and post the link into the window that pops up.

Ive had issues doing this on my phone but it was something with pasting it when I selected the picture icon on here. My "smart" phone is a bit dim witted at times

 

yeah honestly i dont even know how to post a picture on the forums from my phone. but that would be my guess as to why people are running into these redirection issues. Because, and correct me if im wrong, there isnt an option to choose the image uploader on your cellphone. or at least if your using the app. So people probably just copy and paste the link directly in the text box.

 

So I go to log into my fedex account on my phone to check on packages ive recently sent out and it has a tracking number I dont recognize. I click it and it appears to be a package coming to me I am assuming from @rspauldi. Has anyone ever have this where you didnt even tell your account to track a package and it automatically tracks the package for you?

While this is a great feature it could ruin some of the surprise in the next round of Locals/Stout/SWTFYW BIF which ever I get into next, leaning towards locals.

 

On my phone there is a image button but not sure why it doesnt work and it just seems to be easier to do on a computer so I just do that but this could be the issue for some

NBO - SixterCAN trip #3

If you would like to be in consideration to be the recipient of a box filled with 6 cans (and then some), please BM me your shipping address. If you would prefer to skip this trip and sign up for a future trip, don't send me your address and wait for the next person to post their NBO to sign up.

Signup period ends at 8pm on Sunday, March 15th. At that time I will randomly select the recipient and start posting hints as to who it is. Box will be shipped as soon as I get it ready!

Trip #3 - New Jersey (Jawas) --> ??????

How SixterCAN works:

1) The current holder of the SixterCAN box will make a post in the Locals BIF thread saying that the signup period for the next Trip is open and will be open for 2 or 3 days. Anyone that would like to be a potential target for the box would send their address information in a BM to the current holder of the box. To be eligible the person must have:
a) participated in a previous or current Locals BIF round.
b) have not already received the SixterCAN box.

2) After the signup period is over, the current holder will randomly (or using any criteria of their choosing) pick the next lucky recipient of the SixterCAN box. They will not announce this person nor the number of people that signed up, but instead will start posting hints as to where the box is going (BIF style hints). If no one signs up to be the next recipient then, as the original founder, @@LehighAce06 will be the final recipient (hopefully without him knowing that it is coming to him).

3) The holder of the SixterCAN box will fill the interior box with high quality (preferably local) cans, and ship it to the target. Make it a kickass box, but with this group of people I know we won't have to worry about that. Also, add the targets name to the tracking board in the box and add any 'decorations' that you wish to help commemorate the box's visit to your state.

4) The outer boxes will also be filled with 'extras' or swag, please make sure to replace whatever you take; not necessarily exact, 'IPA for an IPA' or 'hat for a hat', but please keep in mind the quality of what was removed, as well as your target's distro.

5) The box may also include a "challenge" beer. An envelope will be attached to the Challenge beer. Inside the envelope will be instructions on what activity needs to be completed BEFORE the recipient is allowed to unwrap/open the Challenge beer. The point is for it to be fun, for the group if not for the challengee, and for the bottle to be something extra nice that is earned as a reward for playing along for the Locals entertainment. Most importantly, the challenge is not mandatory, however the bottle cannot be opened until completion of the challenge, and not at all if the recipient passes on doing the challenge.

6) Once the box is received by the target, they will post the pr0n for all to enjoy.

7) Start over at #1

You do not have to enter every signup period. You can pick and choose when you want to be in consideration to be the next recipient. This would be nice if the current holder of the box is from your own state or an adjoining state or if you are going to be out of town for a while or whatever. Jump in and out as you please.



Please if you want to try Carton Beers, you'll want to sign up for this round. Not sure when I will actually close this out, but Ill give at least a week. 4/2/15 before making a last call post.

 

The other thing you can do (without spaces) is: [ img ] <link> [ /img ] Doing it that way is much easier from your phone.

 

Are you using the Photo bucket app? Works great on the phone. Instead of direct I use the link IMG and it all coded for easy pasting in the forum.

 

when you click on the photos tho, does it redirect you to photobucket page, or does it enlarge your picture?

 

I understand now, it would prob bring you to the page instead of enlarging. I'll have to check and change how to insert photos. Thanks!
