I didn't like b1 fresh either, but it aged into an absolute monster of a cherry sour.

Left the brewery about an hour ago and there were only a few cases left. Don't see any of it making it into tomorrow.

Bottles are sold out. We'll have two 20L gravity kegs on tomorrow and one 20L gravity keg on Sunday.

Had a great time Saturday, but boy was it packed. MvB kegs seemed to be done around 4pm-ish. People were walking out with glasses of it in each hand. Glad we came earlier than planned. I thought 2015 Hibernal was the best in the series since 2014 Hibernal. Not quite as good, but so easy to drink... I brought plenty home to drink in the upcoming months.

Beautiful weather. Really appreciating addition of the back porch bar, and finding bottles of Dissident for sale was a bonus. Quite a nice selection of bottles overall at Stanleys/BackPorch. They mentioned flights were in consideration, and I support it. But I can see how it would be a pain.

Planned to leave at 8, but stayed til 10. So great when it clears out a little, and the sun isnt so hot. Really enjoy spending time with friends and family out there. Cant wait to see what JK continues to do, with the land and the beer. Will be back soon!

Best recent quote in a SW Forum post about JK. Doubling up on what you are putting down

I'm guessing it'll be a month before we see Nocturn, just based on last year. Should be a fun summer.

I bet we'll see something before that if I had to guess- Nocturn that is...

$16 is the price at the brewery. That does not include the gratuity, cost of travel, and time. Trade value of the fruited sours is extremely high and often 10:1 or more. The costs of paid mules is often triple or more the bottle price. There are also bottle hustlers offering free beer and pizza for a bottle.
The brewery stated they are going to clamp down on these practices.
It was the excessive muleing, bottle hustling, and repeat turns in the line going unnoticed by busy volunteers that resulted in over 2500 bottles to be sold in one weekend. Last year a 3000 bottle batch would last 3 weekends. When you see a crew post a hoard of 50 mvb bottles and hear chatter about a few bottles hustlers snagging 20+ bottles each that first weekend, you can see there is a problem.

When a beer is too valuable to drink, what is the point?

A year ago it was even easier for the scum to go through the line multiple times, the stamps are making it harder, not easier. The reason it sold out faster isn't more cheating, its just more people. Jester King is continuing to grow in popularity and the fruited sours continue to have more and more people come out, that is why it sold out so fast.

Add to this the number of people who want to accumulate a bunch of every release just to be able to trade it away, and releases that used to last 3+ weeks are now lucky to make it through a weekend
