Just saw their beers are coming to NOVA in norms email. However when I saw their logo I thought of something else. Check it out for yourself.

That's exactly what I thought. Hopefully this won't go the legal route like we've seen so much of recently. :slight_frown:

I agree. A lot of the resent ones that have been publicized are BS in my mind. This however I don't know. Hopefully there is already some type of understanding or agreement.

Agreed. Those logos are WAY too similar...

Wow....no way they could do that without realizing it, so I assume Hardywood has an ownership stake in O'Connor.

O'connor has been around since 2009, HW opened 2 years later I believe. Plenty of tree logos out there I'd say.

<edit> And by that I mean, I don't think there is any concern for litigation, both of those companies are well aware of each other.

And isn't Hardywood on the coast now? So if it were to be a problem, it would have happened a while ago.

These breweries are approx 90mins away and have both been around for years as stated. Both are distro'd here too - not a problem. O Connor even recently made a callabo with RVAs COTU.

No need to worry. Virginia is for Lovers and most of the breweries are friendly with one another with great rapport .

Hopefully you get Great Dismal Black IPA, El Guapo IPA, Lil SIPA, and the Dry Irish Stout... Green Can, Red Nun, and Norfolk Canyon Pale are pretty forgettable.

O'Connor and HW are distro'd by the same house in RVA. They have both likely met, and one member of the HW team used to work for said distro. Total non-story with regard to possible legal grumpiness IMO. That being said, Dismal is anything but it's name. Great Cascadian if you like the style.
