    Hey everyone!

I'll be visiting Maryland tomorrow for the weekend, and she lives about 20 minutes outside of Baltimore. Aside from Bluejacket Brewery in DC, are there any other breweries in the Baltimore/DC area with good beers? Also willing to travel to the Annapolis area as well. I'll appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

The regular Duckpin Pale Ale is easier to find and also delicious. I've never seen Double Duckpin in the wild. Union Craft has a taphouse somewhere north of Balmer.

Heavy Seas is south of Balmer.

Flying Dog is 40 minutes west in Frederick.

RightProper is my favorite in DC.

3Star in DC is open on Saturdays, I think. I've enjoyed their beers more at the brewery than I have in the bars.

All good suggestions so far. I'll also add that Jailbreak Brewing in Laurel, MD is a pretty cool place with decent beers, about 30 min outside of Baltimore.

If you have time, definitely try to stop by Max's taphouse in Fells Point. Easily the best bar in the area with tons of awesome beers on tap and a great bottle selection. It's popped up on a few of the "best beer bars in the US" lists.

My favorite bottle shop around there is Bo Brooks Lighthouse Liquors in Canton. Solid selection, some limited releases, and I think they'll let you make mixed six packs with just about anything they have in stock. They seem to get a pretty steady supply of Union Double Duckpin if you can't make it to the brewery.

Union would be a good choice on a Sat., probably 40-50 min from you. Should have a good food truck on Sat and lots of beer on tap with some cans and maybe some special bottles. Wine Source is in same neighborhood and one of Baltimore's best bottle shops. Would also second Max's highly, it's on the way.

I went to DC Brau last year and really liked it. It was a 20 minute cab ride northeast of the Capital. Also try Union Craft by Druid Park in Baltimore. My wife's cousin's brother (!) started it.

Doesn't that just make him her cousin as well?

Thanks everyone for your input. It's greatly appreciated! I think Union Craft is what I'm gonna hit on Saturday for sure. I may hit DC Brau for some OTWOA as well. I'll definitely be hitting a few shops as well as my Maryland standby, The Perfect Pour

Love all the suggestions so far. I'm a big fan of Stillwater, so I'll add Of Love and Regret to the list. I make it a point to get there every time I'm in the area.

As many others said, Union, but their taproom hours of operation are really short. You should try The Brewer's Art in Mt. Vernon. Great local Baltimore brewery.
There's a great new bar/restaurant in that area too called the Nickel Taphouse. It is owned by Evo (a brewing company on Maryland's eastern shore). Great food, great local beer too.
    Hope you enjoy Baltimore!

No idea Evo owned the nickel. That explains their always-awesome selection beer then.
