Noticed that 2015 Superfluid is listed at 9.0% ABV while 2014 was at 8.0%, so that may account for some of the taste differences being noted. Short's must be getting killer mash efficiency lately, as Woodmaster and Moher Stout ended up at higher ABV than listed when the 2015 calendar initially came out.

Where are you seeing these ABVs as it isn't listed on any packaging?

I check this pretty regularly. Click on individual beers for more detailed information. As for ABVs, I went over it right when it came out and Woodmaster was originally listed at 9.0% (ended up being 10.5%) and Moher Stout was listed at 7.0% (ended up at 9.7%). I could care less, but just something I noticed.

Just noticed they announced the Summer Variety Pack too! Can't wait for that Berliner Weisse.

I totally agree with you on avoiding the better or worse than bandwagon. But I couldn't let this one slide. I love the nose and taste of reefer in this bottle. But while it is still there this year, it was the most pungest reefer notes I ever had last year.

I really like how Short's releases Superfluid and then follows it up with Freedom of 78. Such a great contrast in IPAs.

I find this really interesting because, if anything, I found this year's batch to be really crushable. This is not a complaint by any means, its just amazing how well the ABV is masked.

I didn't notice much difference in taste this year, which is a good thing. If anything, it may be a tad less bitter than I remember it. Either way, I absolutely love this beer and bought as much as I could fit in my fridge. Hopefully I'll be able to locate more when I burn through my supply.

2015 > 2014 not sure how that's possible. When shorts gets a hit it's always a grand slam.

Just had my first SF of the year and man, it was delish. Great job, Shorts!

On a different note, the color of the artwork on the box and label this year is noticibly different than last years. I actually like the look from 14 better.

    Anyone notice this?

Holy shit, is this drinking WAY better then last year! Just my opinion.

I did manage to keep a 2014 bottle that I've yet to crack. It's probably a complete malt bomb by now, but still interested to see how it compares to this years

Picked up a couple bottles, glad to hear people are enjoying it. This was one of the few limited releases I somehow missed out on last year.

I'm on 6pack 2 of 3 and am mind blown how tasty this is. Usually shorts DIPAs are way too bitter, but this one is fucking money!!!

If founder's made this same beer, they would put it in a bomber and charge $16.99 a bottle. Thank you Short's for all the liquid gold at fair prices. CHEERS!
