I'm sure it'll be just fine. Bourbony as fuck, but fine.

 

I need to keep some coconut in the pantry exclusively for this - have never had a bad coconut beer.

I've french pressed:
strawberries - nope
blackberries - yup!
raspberries - yup!
peanut butter -gotta be careful with this - very strong flavor if you use too much
peanut butter and blackberries - yup!

 

Well, wasn't a full shot. Every time I've added bourbon to a beer I do too much, so was pretty careful this time.

 

I'm sure it will be great, strong flavors

 

I wish I could be there to meet you for a beer...If you want to hold off on the glass I bet if we met for a beer one would appear from somewhere

didn't have a beer all week post EBF (drained from 7 airplane rides in a month and a little hung over) but picked the perfect brew to crack yesterday with @DRBiser (who some of you met in Boston) which was a Ninja gift from the man himself, @mklisz ... and in other news, I a f#cking huge Treehouse fanboy these days!

 

When I do get back down we need to hit up JWB.

 

Yeah I did 5oz to a 5gal batch of homebrew and it came out pretty strong. 1oz:1qt is 4x the solution strength so I'd imagine it'd be more boilermaker than infusion.

Unfortunately, I was walking out the door for a birthday party as the FedEx guy pulled up. Pics will be delayed a bit.

 

All out bags were packed almost to bursting, could have MAYBE fit one or two bottles in at most. But packing beer in with stuff like skis and boots really didn't seem like the safest way to go...in 20-20 hindsight I would have probably bought an extra suitcase/duffel filled with bubble wrap and then packed it for the trip home.

 

So it's time for me to host a LIF. You must have participated in a round of the locals or have run a LIF yourself or even be a standard poster in this thread to qualify for my LIF. . If you can't tell by my screen name I am really into golf. Next to drinking beer it's my favorite hobby. Thankfully the two can go hand in hand. This LIF will be all about golf.

1. What is my handicap?
2. What is the lowest score I have recorded in 18 holes of regulation golf?
3. According to to Golf Digest what is the highest ranked course I have ever played?
4. What is the highest ranked public course I have ever played?
5. I have only played one course that has hosted a major championship. What is it?

The first persons to get all of these correct will win a box of beer. The handicap could be difficult. I'm not sure how many golfers we have in here but if your not familiar with the handicap system make sure the number is specific to the first decimal.

 

When my kids were real young, we used to listen to stuff like Raffi and other kid-friendly music on the way to daycare. I'd drop them off and continue on to work, where I'd be humming "Baby Beluga" to myself most of the day. On more than one occasion, I made it most of the way home in the afternoon before realizing I was STILL listening to that stuff.
