A split with my wife who rarely drinks beer, but prefers wine, but who loves BCBS.

 

One of my favorite choices in glassware!

 

Milk Stout on draft from Denver's Station 26.

 

Well if I could carry as Desert Eagle .50 cal I would. Not the easiest gun to conceal.

 

Farewell old friend. I guess I should have spent more time with you while we had the chance, and in some ways, us taking you for granted led to your demise. Your retirement is very well earned, and you will live on in memory... and hopefully the odd special release anniversary batch if we are lucky.

You must have gotten a better brew than me then. I don't want t dislike this beer at all, I had super high hopes after reading everyone's pleasant comments about it... And was bummed about the end result. Even commented to a friend about how I hoped I just got a bad can or something.

 

Telluride Bridal Veil Rye Pale Ale

 

Reviews:

Spot on excellent German Pilsner. Aromas and tastes of lemon, cracker, bread, light honey and herbal/straw/grassy hops with light pepper. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Really well balanced pils malt and earthy hops flavors. Smooth and crisp finish; fairly dry, but not overly dry either. Slight touch of bready creaminess there. Super clean with pretty much zero yeast esters noticeable. Delicious.


Stillwater making IPAs, never thought I'd see this happening. Really great stuff. Bright aromas and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine; with floral/grassy hop earthiness and light honey/bready malt balance. Nice sized pine/citrus rind bitter finish. Very dank, hop forward, and bitter; with just enough pale malt flavors there to not be cloying on bitterness. Very smooth, crisp, and moderately resinous/sticky hop finish. Really impressed, excellent IPA.


Really nice Berliner Weisse. Aromas and flavors of tart lemon, lime, blueberry, green apple, pear, white grape, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, straw, grass, white vinegar, and light funk. Light-moderately tartness with a crisp finish. Good robust flavors of blueberry and sour/lactic yeast notes with moderate pale maltiness. Light bodied and super drinkable. Minimal complaints about this one. Nice authentic blueberry flavors with well balanced classic Berliner weisse character.

Edit - Nm, I just saw your post in the NE forum, you should give it another go when the next batch is released and see if it still tastes off.

Dang this is good stuff. I may have to see to it that another one falls into my grocery kart. Just an amazing blend of flavors. who would have guessed the two would complement each other so well?
