Yes, i realize they dont distribute yet (especially besides the obvious bottle releases) but was curious if anyone knows when we(central oh) should be expecting some JO cans. For some reason i thought it was in july sometime but i may have been mistaken.
If I remember correctly, Brad told me this past weekend it would be sometime in the Fall. But I was fairly drunk...
I forget if brad gave a more recent update, but back in April he sent out an email: "In other news, our fermenters and brewhouse for the new production facility will arrive in early to mid June. We hope to be operating by August on the new system."
Hopefully brad can chime in here, but my understanding is there are no plans to can dark app for the near future. I'll dig around in my emails later but it was more along the lines of mystic mamma and two other offerings if memory serves....
We visited the new facility last weekend for a RB event.. place is a long way off but was looking good as far as plans. Only standard beers will be canned. Pretty sure all big stuff and barrel stuff remains at the Brewpub for the foreseeable future.
Initial cans may hit shelves in SE Ohio in September. Columbus may be a few months off from that. The first two cans to roll out will be Firefly Amber and Chomolungma Honey Nut Brown. Mystic Mama IPA will be the third can to land. There will be multiple Draft-only beers that should hit Columbus before cans do. Hop Ryot, Drawn and Portered, and maybe Dark Apparition or Matriarch DIPA will be the draft only brews. We will start building up a barrel program at the new facility. I would love to see 750's of Imperials, Belgians, and Barrel aged beers by the end of 2013. hope this helps.
