Came thru via IG on Sarene's account, but draft/bombers/cans hitting this summer.

I really hope this isn't another prank, but the cans thing threw me off...

    I seriously doubt this.

If they are coming to NYC - what's good by them?

"The whole Pipeworks crew is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Sarene Craft Beer Distributors to bring Pipeworks to New York!"

"Draft and bombers will begin flowing to the Empire State this summer and 4-packs of 16oz cans won't be too far behind."

Pipeworks FB has a post about it. It seems a little too real to be an April Fools, but I'm still skeptical.

Do they even distribute in Chicago? I thought everything was brewery-only bombers.

My favorite brewery. Me thinks its a troll considering their post about 18th St selling to a Chinese company.

In hindsight I do remember Beejay/Garrett making a post a few months ago about some upcoming expansion news, but I figured that was in reference to widening footprint in IL. Can't wait til that canning line is up .

We've been working on this deal for a while... I got a text today from Sarene saying let's make it happen today so we did. We thought it might be funny to post it today too because it's the 1st. Mess with peoples feels and such.

    1) Sarene is the right fit for us. They know how to push a boutique, but growing, brand the right way.
    2) This will have ZERO effect on the Illinois market so no1 freak out back home... (our new facility can just make more beer... we set it up that way...and over contracted hops, etc. etc.)
    3) We'll be in NY often to participate in some joint events with our brewer friends in the Northeast as well as other brewers in Sarene's portfolio that we are excited to meet.

Woohoo! I remember hearing from some of the guys at Sarene that they were looking to bring the best limited distro breweries into the NY market. Fucking fantastic news.

Off the top of my head: most of the Ninja series (Citra, Simcoe, etc etc), Square Grouper (collab with 4 Hands), their Abduction series, Ninja vs Unicorn

There's a bunch more that I haven't had the pleasure of trying yet, including their barrel series. Their bombers can be had at most local liquor stores in Chicago. I frequently pack my suitcase with bombers every time I fly into town.

Oh and another reason why I buy their bottles - aside from the quality brew inside - are the batch #s placed on every bottle. Similar to how RR used to code their sours, you can go onto Pipeworks' website and see when each brew was made.

Some people find it annoying and just want the date. I like not going blind reading a black faded ink stamp on brown glass. Plus someone at Pipeworks is updating their site pretty much daily. That's dedication, homes.

I saw Pipeworks post this on facebook yesterday, then follow it up with a comment consisting of nothing more than a  and immediately wrote this off as another dumb April Fool's joke.

So it's real? Probably still not going to believe it until I actually see bottles for purchase on shelves, lol

But the Ninja series is pretty outstanding, many of their other imperial hoppy experiments are tasty as hell (Midsummer Night stood out to me), and the non-fruited Abductions are all awesome brews.

Lots of stuff. Mostly double ipas. Their flagship beers are Citra and Ninja Vs Unicorn.
