Just returned from 10 days in Central America. Knowing it to be a beer wasteland I brought along a few solid micros to hold me over. Long story short I ended up drinking a BCBCS sitting on the curb in front of the National Policia station in Granada, Nicaragua. Have the photographic evidence, wish I knew how to attach it. Made me think about wether or not this was the craziest setting for a micro tasting in my life - yep!

There are a few ways to attach (check out the FAQs); I've found it was pretty easy to set up a Photobucket account to upload pics here.

Without thinking too hard, craziest place for a beer might have been in the Old Medina, Marrakesh, where alcohol is, if not verboten, at least difficult to get.

Probably at the top of the Haiku Stairs AKA the Stairway to Heaven on Oahu. Drank a Fire Rock while waiting on the sunrise while trying not to freeze up there.

I once poured a nice porter in a coffee travel mug to attend to an animators conference in a university. It was a hot summer day. Good conference, good beer.

my own thesis presentation and partial defense at college. Sixpoint's Righteous Rye was on sale for like $15/case and I brought two in with me. It went...okay.

Drank Singha on a roof top bar overlooking Wat Arun in Bangkok. That was pretty cool.

I know the origianl poster was thinking a more scenic post intention. However, this place was wild. Dive bar in look, perhaps artist is more appropriate of a descriptor and a one man show, owner, cook, brewer and bartender all in one.

The Larsen Ice Shelf off the Antarctic peninsula. After working up and down the ice shelf for 6 weeks, we had a few fun days to mess around. The professor I was working for brought out some Scotch and the captain of the research vessel brought out some Chilean beer. I miss that

Awesome! Me too! And slightly smaller ones while getting some backcountry snowboard runs...several dangerous...don't get too crafted and drive snowmobiles!...or snowboard for that matter...trust me...the natural jump with the blind run in where you have to clear some pine trees (yeah, that one) it will concuss you, make you bloody, rip up your jacket and do other bad, weird stuff...

The answer for me is always somewhere near the Slovenian Croatian border back when both part of Yugoslavia. The Cold War was raging. It really was a miracle. Great dark lager, amazing food, and nice people that had no idea why I was there. I ended up getting deported to Greece for corrupting the locals. The good news is that I was young and I STILL have a good sense of humor.

While doing a chainsaw carving competition. Sharing some New Glarus Dancing man, and Wild Sour ale with some fellow carvers from Germany, and Austria. They loved them.

Out in the open at my desk at work. Poured it in a Tervis cup and enjoyed some Breakfast Stouts
