Going to Moss Landing for a few days and was wondering if there was anything worth/doing seeing, beer wise? I did check out the places for CA but it's not listed. I'll have a car but limited time to drive so looking for things within 30 min or so.

    Thanks!

Are you going to MBARI? Your best bet is to head north to Santa Cruz and Capitola. Sante Adarius is only 25 min or so north, depending on traffic. SC is another 10 or so past that. Aptos St BBQ is worth checking out as well.

No (not even sure what that is) , just R&R, but my wife isn't keen on driving all over CA so I can get my beer fix on.

MBARI is the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. Moss Landing seems like an odd place to chose for a vacation, but enjoy nonetheless.

    Phil's fish market for food.

Phil's is a nice seafood joint. But yea, you are way too close to sante Adairius to not go. It would be very unfortunate to be that close to capitola and not get to Sante. I hope you make it!

I second the Sante/Aptos BBQ recommendation; I did it just last week. Totally doable from Moss Landing, half hour each way. Not to sound sexist, but Capitola and Soquel have all kinds of wifey things to do: shopping, antiques, etc. Just hit Sante first and fortify yourself.

Or let the wife go explore the really cute Capitola downtown why you go and explore the mobile home park/side of the freeway/industrial park where Sante is (only a 15-20 min walk, though basically straight uphill).

Dude, is your wife somehow saying Sante is NOT relaxing?

Check out Discretion Brewery in Soquel...

They have a decent food selection and a great atmosphere to chill out. Good Faith (Old Ale) and Uncle Dave's Rye IPA are very good...
