ODell IPA: Real solid, easy drinking IPA. Would probably keep some of these in the fridge all the time for daily drinkers if it was local. Thanks Mike!

 

Odell reminds me a lot of New Glarus. Almost everything I've had from them is above average or better. Their stuff is easily obtainable so I don't think it gets the credit it deserves. Their Brazzle (sp?) was phenomenal.

 

Agree, with everything you said.... and @JNForsyth has got a bottle of Brazzle too, so we'll see what he thinks

 

You guys crack me up. No baby, just a stressfull day. And of course I take BA to the crapper!

 

Yeah Brazzle is intriguing to me, want to drink that one but waiting till someone stops by I can share it with.

I apparently mentioned a few days ago that I had never had a crowler, so Nick decided to remedy that by sending me...




A crowler of Sunny Side Up -- Nick mentioned that he saw this on my wants -- what he didn't realize is that I almost always remove things from my wants once I try them (since I like new stuff), SSU was the rare exception because I absolutely loved it last time I had it and am thrilled to get more (which, by the way, I will drink in my #properglassware, also supplied by Nick a few months ago)

Pentagram! -- Surly you Jest! I actually got to try this a couple of weeks ago at EBF, but IIRC it was fairly late in the tasting process and I didn't fully appreciate it, so I'm psyched for this. I think I have had 6 other beers from Surly, and thought all were great, so this is a welcome addition.

ANOTHER crowler -- this one is Smurphs Blood - a tasty sounding wild ale that I'm also looking forward to. I'll assume 1) that it's the real thing, despite the name being spelled wrong on the crowler, and 2) that no real smurfs (or smurphs) were harmed in the making of it.

I'm not sure if they are unable to call it Smurf's blood due to trademark/copyright infringement but every Crowler I've gotten so far (2 or 3) have all been spelled incorrect at least per their own beer name/spelling. It isn't the best sour they've put out but I dug it. Happy to pop your Crowler cherry!

Just wanted to echo this. Between @Kramerbarthomer and I, we can probably hook you up with just about any currently available Odell offering at any time.

Also, I'm packing up the LIF box I owe to @XlCool (whom I still haven't figured out how to tag on the Mobile browser... I've tried lots of letter/number combos. I conclude he's a ninja). He's told me he's not into anything super sour, so I'll be setting him up with some of my favorites, and attempting to expand his pallet a bit with a bottle or two of the best sours CO has to offer.
