I'm not quite sure what it is, but I'm not a huge fan. I mean, I don't think it's AWFUL, but I probably wouldn't seek this one out if it became a regular rotation beer. I seem to be in a minority on untappd, where the average is right over a 4 (I gave it a 3)

 

I saw another VCS of that that I swear was a golden color, and allegedly some of them are full of DB Huna... I wonder how many different beers are in those cans (also makes it hard to trust the rating)

That had to have been a rumor, right? Labeling it a DIPA and filling it with a BA stout? I'm sure it gets a 4 because it's ccb and they can do no wrong.

 

For being a 9% 750mL, Upper Case went down WAY too quickly. And now I need more....

 

I dunno, with a name like "you never know" and it was handed out on Huna day? If I was them I would absolutely put DB Huna in some of them just for the buzz it'd create.

 

I feel you brother.. it almost scares me on how fast i can throw back a trillium 750..

 

Think of how quickly it would have gone down if you didn't need to check it in 6 times

They may look the same, but holy hell they are uniquely different. For you coffee fiends out there, I highly recommend you seek out anything made with Dark Matter, or Intelegensia for that matter (@Louis121 will attest). And if you ever visit Chicago, stop by the Rev taproom on Kedzie, awesome place to grab a beer!

If someone gave me this in a glass and told me it was a Trillium IPA i honestly dont know if i could argue that. No joke its almost like they took a bottle of trillium... had their new scientist run tests and then duplicated something. Its not identical, but its pretty damn close.

Hey @PA-Michigander (or other folks with crowler experience) -- once I open these, I assume I need to finish it in one sitting? And if I DON'T open one today, how long can I wait to do so?

@LehighAce06 -- how many checkins do I get for a crowler?

 

You could go over the course of a day, max. I would use some saran wrap over it if it's a decent amount of time between pours though - so that last nights leftover tuna sandwich doesn't invade the beautiful aroma of beer.

Today I am off and working on sixter cans and two ninja bombs if I can find what I want.

I did try to land tree house cans yesterday to no avail. Enough cans for 150 people and when I got there, they were 300 deep. Staff did a great job of filling growlers I don't know how they d it. It really makes me sad that during releases some of the rudest people in the beer community come out and push and shove.
