    Meh. Tasted like grape juice & cola in high quality bourbon barrels. If memory serves me right, I still gave a generous score. One of the rare misses for FW IMHO. Let the tomatoes and banana peels fly...

    My God people what is wrong with you people?? Did you all get bad bottles?

    It's no Parabola but dammit Firestone has their BA program (at least on the dark beer side) down cold.

    Is this the "Central Coast Quad" that's actually an English barleywine? If so, I believe I prefer it to §ucaba... as a barleywine.
    Oh, and I think I still have three or four bottles laying around somewhere... :slight_smile:

    I'd have to say too stickee isn't my favorite. It was okay to me. Merkin is my go to from them even over parabola. I feel like fresh parabola can go a year before drinking.

    There are two tap houses nearby next week that will have a FW night.... both include several year's anniversaries, Sucuba, Parabola, Stickee Monkee and the Merkin. I've had both the Sucuba and Parabola...can't wait to try the others, especially the Stickee Monkee. For those of you who have had the SM, what Belgian or Belgian style beer would you compare it to?

    I Love Stickee Monkee!! I think I bought a case last year, without even knowing it, this year for sure im going to try and aim for BevMo or TotalWine for the price discount. This beer is a definite A++ in my book

    It is a quad not a barleywine 2 different types. The Double DBA is the imperial special bitter/English barleywine

    The packaging says quad. My palate says barleywine. I'm not alone on this.

    I'm not sure I care what it is. If its Firestone, and comes in a box, I'll take it. I know I'm going to like it. One of the best barrel programs in the business!
