St. Gambrinus (in Boerum Hill) posted on their Dacebook page this morning that they have 7 bottles left. They opened at noon. No idea if they still have or how much.

I haven't heard anything back yet about the 2014 bottles.

Wanted to follow up on Top Hops, I heard back and they replied that what they sold is what they got from the distributor. As noted on this thread, there were a few places that received 2014 bottles.

Eagle Provisions received their case of KBS yesterday, not sure if they have any left. I would definitely call and ask.

Eagle was selling a 4-pack for $50. I was in there on Saturday. I'm sure they have some left.

Can't believe eagle is still charging those prices 6 weeks before they shutter their doors. I wonder if they'll have a going out of business sale.

Rollom - was this a grocery store in crown heights, perchance? Saw the same today, but couldn't grab any (thanks Passover). Guessing it'll all be gone by Saturday night when I can buy and drink beer again.

stuff likes this makes me wonder why distributors even bother giving the smaller shops (who apparently dont really even know what they're getting/selling) and making other shops buy cases upon cases to get just a case or two of KBS.

The bodega on Washington Ave and Lincoln Place in Prospect Heights is selling KBS for $10/ 4 pack.

I think those "small shops" are often grocery stores that ARE buying other Founders products case after case - I know that's true for the grocery stores around me that seem to have gotten a KBS allotment.

The Key Food, or some other smaller bodega? I wonder what it got mis-entered as in their system? Seems too cheap for regular FBS too (in fact, can't think of a single Founders 4-pack that'd go for $10 in Prospect Heights). Too bad... they're losing $40 on each case at that price.

No not the Key Foods, the small shop on the NW corner. I was surprised to see it there. I got myself a 4-pack tonight.

Yep, went there yesterday and picked up a 4pk. There was only 1 4pk left after I left.

Anyone point out to these guys that they were accidentally charging less than half of what they should?

Yeah, I'm not sure what's worse - not being able to drink or not being able to buy. Probably the latter. That being said, I have a bottle of Lost Tribes Tej ready for me to open, which I'll probably do Thursday night. Glad I was able to get 8 bottles of KBS before Passover. Also glad Black Note didn't come out at the same time like it did last year.

Hey guys, just dropping in to let everyone know that Cafe Nadery in the village is gonna have KBS on tap Friday.

Last year the keg lasted for several hours and everyone got a few pours I believe. Hoping for the same this year! I'll grab the exact details and post them, but I believe it taps at 6pm Friday Night.

Blushing Monk and Curmudgeon, as well as other beers from Founders, and reps in house.

Was waiting for someone to point this out , well done! In the blind rush to get the beloved and scarce KBS, that part of the buying process was left out !

Judging by the response and the likes though, it seems we're in the minority unfortunately.

MO these days seems to be about getting as many of "my" bottles as possible, and if I get my bottles via taking advantage of a small store who's priced them incorrectly - then even better!

You're making a way bigger deal out of this than it is.

First, the store probably only got a case of it so charging $10 a 4/pk isn't going to wreak havoc on their pockets, actually it probably even helps them out in the long-run by driving people to the store to search for beer now, instead of it being just another bodega in Brooklyn.

Second, craft beer is already so ridiculously priced in New York it's nice for the consumer to catch a break every now and then. When you've got places like Eagle Provisions selling 4/pks for $50 and Harvest Market selling a single bottle for $8 if you buy a 4/pk of Breakfast Stout, people don't feel nearly as bad when the tides have turned.

Lastly, a good business owner should know his/her products. If you sell craft beer in your store you should at least know a little about what you're selling. With all the hubbub going on in the city with KBS the last few weeks you'd think they might have known it's kind of a big deal. That's not our job to tell them. All in all, they probably wouldn't have even cared enough to change their prices if someone had told them.
