To each their own I guess. I tried it at Flying Saucer months back and thought it was really good - exactly what I imagined it to be. Still prefer BB6 though.

They told me it was really off. Maybe something was wrong with the keg they got, like an infection.

That's a cruel joke, I bet it would be deliciousness in a bottle.

I read that too, but they never said which Bishops Barrel it would be, just that it would be one. So it could be up as BB9, or BB10....or it might get dumped because it sucks and is infected

Because there is no scientific evidence that they seal worse than crown caps and they are more convenient to remove, duh.

Is this the typical pace for BB series releases or are they releasing them faster now?

I respond to this issue every few months...there have been many studies regarding whether twist off as greater oxygen ingress than pop top...all studies have shown no evidence of greater dissolved oxygen exists. I understand the aesthetics. I do, but there is no proof. As we say in the lab at St. Arnold, "Do you even science, bro?" No mean to insult....just a joke we say.

    SCIENCE!

and BB9 is Bourbonator. Blend of Woodford and Willett barrels.

the only legitimate reason to hate screw top bottles is if you homebrew and recycle bottles because screw tops are pretty much useless to you then.

:beatsdeadhorse: it makes no difference in the seal. you can have shitty pop top capping too that leaks, just blame it on the probability that running a thousand something bottles through a machine a few of them aren't going to come out perfect.

The only time Sa used crown caps to my knowledge was on the pumpkinator that was popping off

    Sounds delicious.

The only complaint I have on the screw tops is that I have to be very careful when putting on electrical tape to send of 12oz DR's as extras. Definitely opened a few on accident before

I'm interested to know the base beer that went into the gin barrels.
