Perfect Beer Moments

Sounds like paradise...and yes, I have had a few of those moments. Generally they are sitting in the sun with friends drinking great beer.

 

Two of my best friends I use to package beer with, my lovely girlfriend, and my father. Sante on a perfect warm sunny afternoon drinking West Ashely on draft.. life hammer right there.

Cascade Blueberry at near 4000 ft on Elk Ridge Mountain, above Valle Crucis, with fresh Blueberry pie from blueberries in the yard....on the 4th of July. A dark lager and stew after stumbling out of the bush in Slovenia. They knew we were some kind of aliens! The old Yugoslavia.

 

On a hot sna sweaty august day, at the end of 4 days in the boundary waters, 5 portages and 5 hours of paddling discoverying that the 4 bombers of Saison Dupont in the ice chest in my car trunk were still cold.

 

Drinking Zwanze 2012 at Cantillon with my good friend and then being offered a second pour of Cuvee St. Gilloise from Jean Van Roy's lovely sister Julie.

 

Mine is quite similar. After 6 days of backpacking in the Presidentials as a high adventure scout leader. Came out and we all made a steak dinner over the fire. The six pack of long trail was outstanding for the adults while getting the fire going and cooking. I had my first one even before the much needed shower.

 

I was out Christmas shopping for the wife one morning and stopped for a huge slice of bacon pizza and a double bastard ale. At noon. It was glorious!

 

First Heady on tap experience at Blackback Pub with @williamjbauer last October after a 14 hour road trip. Couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

 

April fools day 2014. Coolest beer experience so far.

 

My first beer after boot camp, haha. Don't even remember what it was, but damn it was good.

 

Two years ago went to Belgium with the GF and two friends. Rode bicycles to Westlveteren and spent all day drinking 6's 8's and 12's. Just sitting in the sun in the Belgian country side drinking trappist brews was such an awesome experience.

 

Drinking locally crafted beers in Berlin Germany. Everything was so new yet obviously old. I wish I spent more time learning about the culture and less time time worrying about local girls.

 

December 26th last year, sat by the fire pit outside at Founders Taproom in Grand Rapids. Enjoying a couple pours of CBS with my wife before meeting friends for dinner and a 'Die Hard' movie marathon during a rare full week off work. After a difficult year this was a moment to savor.

 

after doing backbreaking yard work, sitting by the pool with a cold resin.
That's when I savor beer the most.

But drinking a ten fidy after giving birth was a close second.
