So it seems Ommegang is doing a growler pop up store in NYC for a week (4/13 - 4/19) to promote their new Nirvana IPA:

    https://www.ifoundnirvana.com/growler-store/

    Custom etched growlers available.

I might check it out, but I don't need another growler so we'll see

Did I miss it on the website, does the price include a fill of their new IPA?

Good question. I would hope so.

Sent them an email, and sadly the price does not include a fill of their new IPA.

Even without a fill included, $25 for an etched stainless steel 2-liter is a pretty good price.

    haha, love it @Kanger !!!

so i gotta ask @Tpain518 what makes you pass judgement so negatively before the beer is actually released? do you have some sort of inside knowledge or know something that we don't or just a ommegang hater?

It's less carbed than most IPAs. Nice grassy and tree sap aroma. Maybe a little tart citrus juice thrown in. I'd say the flavor was medium bodied with subdued lime flavors, hint of pineapple and straight grapefruit bitterness.

Terrible? Not by a long shot. World class? Certainly not either. This is a solid sipper. I know it won't please most, but I suspect it's due to the acquisition more than it does the actual brew. It's worth a buy for sure.

By the way, if anyone is here tonight come find me! By the bar in a silver jacket.

And a quick add. If you come down during the week, they have passed hot dogs (they say brats...meh), kniches, black and white cookies and other treats. Oh yeah...and full pours of the IPA.

Not bad. Subtle fruitiness with low bitterness. An easy drinker. Worth a try if you see it.
