Hey Maryland BAs. Any craft beer bars or shops near Rams Head Live? Heading there for a show this weekend and will have a good amount of time to kill and walk around before hand. Really couldn't find much with a quick search and am not super fimiliar with the "scene" (if it exists) around there.

Take a cab real quick to Maxs, or walk if your ambitious. It's about a mile. That's all you need.

Of love and regret is another option, but don't skip maxs.

Yeah, Max's is fantastic, and should be your first go to, but if you'd like to stay closer to the venue, like almost right across the courtyard from Ram's Head Live, is a Leinenkugel's beer garden that's good. Not as great as Max's, but it'll do!

If you skip Max's taphouse, you've wasted a trip to Baltimore.

Max's is without a doubt the best option in Baltimore. A couple other spots a bit closer by are the Pratt Street Ale House and Heavy Seas Ale House which are both 5-6 block walks from Ram's Head.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. How are the cabs down there relative to Uber/Lyft (if those are even available) as far as pricing goes?

The cabs in Baltimore are some of the worst I've ever experienced. In my opinion Über provides cheaper and better customer service.

I'd definitely recommend using Uber/Lyft. There are always cars readily available downtown.

Agreed! And OP if you have the time I second the recommendation of the Pratt Street Ale House great pub food, great selection of house brewed English-style ales. Also if you have the time, check out the Brewers Art and Alewife. You'll have a great time!

$4-6 ride to Max's from where you're at.

Max's was great, and wasn't a bad walk to & from the venue. There was an Orioles game on at the time so it was extremely packed, but found a spot towards the bus in the back. Amazing tap list. We also hung out at the Leinenkugel's beer garden before the show which was a very chill spot with some nice local beers on-tap, too.

    Thanks again for the recommendations!
