that's an insane price for a barrel aged barleywine. Maybe it's Bell's way of apologizing for Venus

Sorry no pic, but it's a deep amber color kinda the color of bourbon. A bit on the lighter side of most barleywines I've had.

Anyone have a guess as to how long it'll be available at the general store?

Check around Michigan. The stores there are seeing cases arrive today. I picked up a case and a six in Marshall this afternoon.

Guess I'll look for Saturn, the others didn't interest me much, but a BA Barleywine? Why not

I hate missing out on Mars, which seems to be the best one so far. I need that bottle cap.

Picked up a case yesterday at Bell's store. It is my first BBA Barleywine, so I am no expert, that being said it has a subtle bourbon flavor, not super sweet and very smooth.

Too bad that this one didn't follow Mars. They would've been on a roll if it did. Might be too little, too late considering the reviews on Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter. One case headed to the aging lab (basement). Lots going on with this brew. I like it.

That's pretty funny, considering it isn't bourbon barrel aged. It's oak-aged.

    Keep sippin' the kool-aid, buddy.

Earth isn't really a planet...more of a slow rolling train wreck

Yeah, breweries should only release DIPAs and barrel aged beers. They'd be so much better off...

The series is inspired by Holst's suite, not the planets themselves per se. The suite has 7 movements, one for each planet, but did not include Earth. From the Wikipedia page:

If there WAS an Earth though, what would you guys want to see? Personally I would love a nice spicy, farmhouse-y saison but maybe it's just the weather that puts me in that mood.
