I give DLD event organizers a lot of slack with shit that happens at festival because it's like herding 12,000 very drunk cats. I even give them slack on pre-fest communication, because (from experience) things are likely being finalized up until the day of the event.

    This is just fucking insulting.

No tickets for me still. We're never home to receive mail though. Hopefully mine didn't get returned....

Yup, that's worrying me as well.

I had no problem paying it last year, but with the rise in ticket prices this year and DL prices going up, combined with no carry out sales swayed me into not going this year.

That's understandable for the out-of-staters, for sure (and for people who don't think the beers/spectacle are worth the money).

I received my ticket yesterday. No postage due stamp on the envelope that was in my mailbox. I did only have one ticket/lanyard so its possible that had something to do with it. Maybe the extra weight or bulk of the 2nd ticket screwed up the postage?

A friend of mine who lives a few blocks away got his ticket on Saturday, no problem. But he also only ordered one, whereas I got two.

I also only got my confirmation yesterday that the tickets were shipped. I am going to be so very anxious if it isn't here by this weekend or if it's sent back due to insufficient postage.

I might shoot eTix or whoever a note about this....

Who would've thought that 11 days before DLD, this thread would be gifted ANOTHER controversy? Wow, we're not worthy!

This sucks. But consider yourself lucky. This could have very simply been returned to the sender. If you've ever had a holiday card, or anything returned to you via USPS, you'll know that it can take weeks.

My tickets were short paid $1.63. Glad I was home to give the mail man two bucks.

It does not upset me, just funny that it happened.

What happens to those of us that aren't home for the mailman to pay postage?

I have never had that happen before. I actually did not even know it could happen.

Only could get GA tickets that came in the mail today in the form of two lanyards (they look cool this year)

Mine were in my mailbox yesterday with no additional postage needed. Weird that some need it and some don't? Not sure how that's happening if at most 2 lanyards are in any given envelope and that's what they weigh it out for.

I wonder if a bunch of them went through the same hub and a hero postal worker decided to weigh them.
