uh, I'm either old or boring. The only time I really try new beers is when Tree House comes out with something new

No more than 6-10 because the risk of spending a premium for banal or even bad beer is too high. I mostly stick to the breweries that I know are consistent, and those really aren't that prevalent in these parts, which limits the amount of new outings I'm willing to dish out for.

I work at Total Wine on Thursdays and Saturday, new beers are always there on Thursdays, I usually pick out a mixed 6 on Thursdays and bring it home Saturday

I review 3 new beers every day except for Fridays when I revisit really old reviews. So, a lot of new beer.

As most first started out, new beers are easy to come by and fun to tick. I'm guessing with time you home in on what you like and would rather drink a reliable 4.25 over an unknown 3.25. Time will tell.

By Untappt standards, a lot more than I do here. I buy the new vintages of the beers I enjoy so strictly going by new beers and not a different vintage I'll have like 6-10 completely new beers a month. If I like a beer, i tend to hoard the hell out of it so I can age some and share with friends who may not have the time to get certain limited releases and also may not have the relationship with store management to acquire such beers as well (note: I don't really stock up on hoppy or non-ageable beers).

Just in the past 9 months, I've had as many as 34 (!) new beers in a month, but never fewer than 10 - my actual average worked out to be 19. And I'm no ticker; apparently, I'm just a high-volume drinker

I went with the 6-10 option. Traditionally I'd review new beers Friday/Saturday, and use the week to just relax with a six pack of something enjoyable. I've got a little more time on my hands now, so that number might be going up - not by too much though.

I don't always review every new beer, sometime I just drink and enjoy the beer for what it is. I may or may not buy more of the same beer just to review. Reviewing removes some of the spontaneity of enjoyment.

you forgot about a category for the people who rarely dabble. I LOVE beer, but I don't drink too much.... especially when I'm overworked and tired (which with a baby in the middle of the semester, is pften).

Lately, when I have a brew, it often is an old favorite (because when you're exhausted, you want a hug from an old friend... my friends are space dust, resin, ten fidy). So I can go several weeks w/o trying ANYTHING new :grimacing:

heresy, I know. Just being honest, though. When my work schedule slows during the summer, I'll be more adventurous again!

For the most part I try to get something I've never had when I go on a beer run. I sixer will last me 3 days. Sometimes it's a 4 pack. Sometimes it's bombers. The only reason I get something I've already had is if I only have time to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work. So with my 2 beer per night average I do a lot of new beers versus old faithfuls. But I prefer it that way

Yes, it's called BeerAdvocate. Although I do maintain a backup offline.

Because I travel a lot, I get a chance to try 3 or 4 new beverages/trip, then I usually grab a couple of new things per week when I'm home - and that isn't measuring the difference that having a Total Wine that lies on my "flight path" home will have on my "new beverages" consumption rate. I may need to build a new garage to hold another beer fridge to account for that relatively recent development.

I'm probably in the 11-20 range. Always trying something new if given the chance.

Off the top of my head I thought sure I try 11-20 new beers a month, then I went onto untapped and averaged out that I try 1.44 new beers a day.... So I guess the real answer is "F" as in I have no f-ing idea.
