As part of my education in "good" () beers, I have been exploring one style at time. Since I started this project in the winter, when I was largely drinking porters and stouts, I decided to drink lighter as the weather warmed - thus I did brown ales, and am almost done with the 6 amber ales I chose to try. At this point I think I will proceed to American Pales Ales, and the to IPA's. Again, about a half dozen each, probably. After that the weather should be warm enough for more summery beers. I am thinking wheat beers, either Belgian or German style. Laagers only if it is still warm when I am done with the warm weather style ales.

Hefeweizens and Berliner Weisses are good summer beers, for me anyways.

Sounds good but there's no need to overthink it.

Definitely a fun way to go about it, and I still follow this pattern with new beers now. I find jumping into seasonal rotations, along with the breweries releases, they tend to be fairly fresh.
    Enjoy!

This spring I've been trying sours. Could be a good new style to explore while in a warm season.

I don't know how close you are to Devil's Backbone, but you could take a trip there and try a little of everything. Make a summer weekend out of it.

Honestly, just keep going and try every style. You'll learn a lot and I'm sure you'll enjoy some styles that you otherwise wouldn't even get into.

I like your method of style exploration, I'm no where near that discipline, I take more a shotgun approach

@Dil_thebeerdrinking_do beat me by a couple minutes, but nailed it ... yeah, if you're in 90 degree heat you may not want to be drinking a 234237489% ABV beer, but generally, beer has no season. I enjoy all styles year round, and that's how it should be.

The old cliche "variety is the spice of life" is very true -- for me, anyway.

Is Lime-a-rita a style of its own? I hear that's a yummy beer.

    I second a good Kolsch!

Forget the season , get yourself an Imperial stout or barleywine and let the magic happen!

IPAs to a fault on my end, but when I stray, I seek a good porter or stout. Indulge.
