Is this different than the original? Didn't seem to indicate so on the website. Last years was decent.

Changing the recipe like they did with Stone Pale, which is Stone Pale 2.0 also.

My guess is that it's different, but probably minimal. Stone is very good at marketing. Even if it's the exact same beer, they just increased their sales by calling it "2.0". Don't get me wrong, I'll be buying one as soon as I see it on the shelf. Ruination is/was delicious.

I think it's awesome that Stone being very upfront about changing the recipe for a classic beer. I wish Ithaca did the same when Flower Power changed.

Looking forward to trying this one. Pale Ale 2.0 was quite solid.

This is the new year round Ruination. If you guys get regular year round Stone beers you're getting this.

    It's a new recipe. There's a blog about it.

No this is replacing Ruination in their year round lineup.

Let me get this straight... Stone brews an amazing beer called Ruination that gets over 10,000 reviews with a score of 96 and decides to change it??? This leads me to believe that Stone is about to deliver an inferior beer in order to cut costs and maximize profits. We'll see

Haha. That had to be one of the funnier posts I've seen. Seems cut and dry to me. Do people just not read or have terrible reading comprehension?

This is the second time that they've changed the recipe of Ruination. You're making a massive assumption about a brewery that has never compromised quality to turn a buck.

Yes, because they definitely cut costs when they ship out Enjoy By incredibly fast so it can be drunk as fresh as possible.

If anything this beer is gonna cost more for them to make. Centennial, Simcoe, Citra, and Azacca aren't exactly cheap hops.

Totally reformulated recipe with Centennial, Simcoe, Citra, and Azacca...Stone is shifting from overly bitter to more tropical fruit and flavor with less bitterness. Mirrors the overall movement of IPAs in the last two years. Can't wait to try it.

Go read the article Stone published about how the recipe is changing. Stone basically says they are doing a disservice by continuing to brew this the "old way". Embrace the change. You haters probably are still using your Ti-82s "because they still work".
