Bass Ale (NY?), Red Strip (PA), Becks (MO), Fosters (GA & TX), and Guinness Extra Stout comes from Canada, not St James Gate as the label and carton would have you believe. The Red Stripe from Latrobe, PA is just not the same beer as it was when it came from Jamaica. Becks is being pre-skunked from St Louis, MO. I would look for the 12 packs that were light tight when the stuff came from Bremen, Germany that was not light struck, but when I picked up a 12 pack that came out of MO, there was that skunk again, disgusting.

Exactly why if I'm at a place and feel the bartender doesn't give 2 sh*&s I always ask for a room temperature glass

I agree. Not just beer. Cars on craigslist, hammers at Lowe's, Cheerios. From experience, I've learned, no listed price means I don't want it.

I also hate 4 packs. And bombers.

So, to reflect, I don't buy anything:

    In a 4 pack
    In a bomber
    without a price on it.

I have better things to concern myself with. Hell, my wife is still hot. I should take advantage of THAT!

Not using bottled on dating and not making it clear on the label what style the beer is.

It's already been stated multiple times - no "bottled on" dating or dating that is in some sort of indecipherable code.

I'm sure to offend a few people here, but, one of my pet peeves about the whole craft beer thing is people who are maybe not that even into the beer so much, as they are trying to be in a perceived "inner sanctum" of beer snobs, and yes, I know several of these people. I got hired at a bottle shop because of my appreciation and knowledge of wine. I don't judge customers on their choices, I just try to point them in the right direction based on their personal taste. When I started, my knowledge of beer was near to none. After a lot of tasting and sampling, it's a tough job, I have grown to appreciate beer as much as wine, actually maybe more so, and I am obsessed with trading and collecting. I can't stand when someone is excited because they just tried Pliny (insert whatever beer here), and someone says, "Yeah, it's ok, I guess, have you had Heady (insert whatever beer here), that's waaay better, though". Ugh, rant over.

Fwiw- those types are pretty much broadcasting their insecurities. It's just too bad that the people who they will discourage won't tend to see it that way.
