From American brewers? Lagers in general. Bocks, doppelbocks, weizenbocks, pilsners, maibocks, kellerbier, etc.

i'M feeling innordinately pleased with myself for deciding on Sat. night what beer to make for a group of people, and after wracking my brain for a bit, was like, yeah, munich dunkel, I can have that ready by October. Nailed it! Thanks for this thread!

Irish Dry Stouts in the 5.5% ABV range. Best hot weather thirst quencher ever for me. Even better than pilsners and gose.

Bitters, ESB, doppelbock, and brown ales. I agree with those above that have said lagers in general and more english and german styles. Just good, easy drinking, everyday beers.

Not sure, but they should brew less APAs, IPAs and DIPAs.

I agree with Pilsners. A criminally underrated style, in my opinion. On a pleasantly warm day, there are few things I enjoy more than a cold Urquell. Also, I'd like to see more breweries producing sours.

@mudbug beat me to it: CAP (Classic American Pilsner).

The only packaged CAP that I am aware of is Straub 1872 Lager. It is a nice beer but of late I have only seen this beer as part of variety packs. Luckily I am a homebrewer so I make my own CAP beers but it really would be nice if more commercial breweries made this style of beer.

Some more discussion of Straub 1872 Lager here:http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/straub-1872-lager.144714/

    Cheers!

For all the beers out there and the ones that coast under the radar, which styles would you like to see more often and why?

I, personally, would love if there was even one readily available Rye beer in my area.

    Discuss?

More Rauchbier. I can generally get access to all of Schlenkerla's offerings in my area (which is nothing to complain about), but I'd love to see more.

More English Bitters on cask, please.

Fortunately, at least I have one 'local' option for the craving with Victory Uncle Teddy's Bitter.
