I know GoOSU is, but wasn't sure if anyone else is out there today. Weather is miserable, so anyone that suffers through this deserves a beer! For those that have run marathons before, how soon after do you have your first beer? Any recommendations?
My buddy finished in 3:04. Hoping he gets to Trillium to get me some beers at some point while he's in Boston.
That :04 is probably killing him. Regardless, that's crazy fast. Also, like where your head is at on the beer front. "You're going to Boston, make sure you stop at Trillium. And good luck with that race or whatever"
I was just in the area for work (getting to the Pru was a lot of fun) and watched a guy cross the finish line and just continue running right into a pub lol. I did the same thing last 5K I ran.
Food for thought: Running a marathon and heading to Trillium for some bottles of Congress St takes less time than waiting in line for bottles of Dinner at MBC.
Haha, he qualified months (maybe a year) ago after running sub 3 hours at a marathon in Minnesota. The first thing I thought was "What can this guy mule back for me?" I'm guessing he drank a lot after the race...
Ran my 10th, with beer shirt each time...always a big hit with the college crowd.... On free beer at restaurant for my efforts.
