    So their media is:

I probably would have left that article out. And the L.A. Weekly one speaks nothing more than name dropping 8one8 without any talk of the quality they are brewing.

On one hand, they're not pretentious to shoot for a CASA style membership, but on the other hand, they don't even have a brewery and it doesn't even look like they're going to have a tasting room allowed. So only to-go sales. Seems.... odd.

    Never heard of 'em.

They need to step their Instagram game up and increase the price of their membership by 1000% tho. That's how we dooz it in 2015.

seems expensive to me. A shirt and a bomber of beer that may or may not be good.

$40 for a beer and t-shirt may be expensive. The two items are probably worth somewhere near $30. I think the point is to help out a brewery starting up and $40 isn't breaking the bank.

What ever happened to the good ol' days when a new brewery would just create a kickstarter to panhandle for that dolla dolla, yo?

Where the hell is L.A. River brewery these days anyway?

I would rather support the local brewery starting up by getting their product in a bar/store or by frequenting the establishment. Especially when their own media that they are proud of says they have work to do, and the other article says nothing about them at all really.

I would think that $40 was a steal if I saw something that said the beer was a good product, but if it is compared negatively to Bud, then it is a pretty bad rip off.

It'd be cool if someone were to step it up and offer to provide us with a yeast culture analysis, but no one gives a shit about the consumer anymore

The brewery is in the construction phase of build-out with a target opening of August 2015. We will be a small nano brewery without a tasting room to start. It may seem odd but once you understand the bureaucracy of the City of Los Angeles you will understand our strategy for this. I'm open to discuss this with anyone interested in opening a brewery in LA. Also, the articles your referring to from almost a year ago doesn't hype us up but it's feedback. Our site at this point is a blog to show our journey and we're open to + and - feedback to make a positive impact on the beer culture in the San Fernando Valley.

I totally get that the City of L.A. is god damn awful in terms of permits and logical sense. But unless you're able to try on site, you're shooting for a leap to get people to buy a bomber of it without some sort of well established try at it.

I think the problem is exactly what you said, it's no more than a blog at this point, Much like how the idea of a brewery is just that at this point. So more incentive is needed to plop down $30 on a membership to this, at current, potential brewery.

So tell us about the medals or background of the brewers and those involved.

I'm happy to report that with the amount of time, energy and money going into this project we're not trying to make a "bud" product! =) We will take you up on your offer to support us on the taps, give us a shot when you see our taps handles in some local San Fernando Valley locations and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

The being able to "taste" is in the works as we speak, I can't drop that information at this time but it's on our radar and we should have an update on that within 2-4 weeks.
Since you've exposed our weakness of not being 2015 web savvy lets continue this conversation over at the "potential" brewery that's under construction. You can meet our brewer and save your $30 and we will give you the .10 tour and no charge.
Here's the address: 8951 De Soto Ave 91304 -> or email me to setup a time -> [email protected]
