Fortunately "all week" is now reduced to "all day". Also note that the 518oz includes what you already received, so don't be too disappointed by what's coming.

It was a pretty big amount, I looked back at some of my other really big boxes and it's actually the most I've ever sent in a BIF, by a margin of nearly 100oz. And yes, excepting 24oz of porters, it's ALL stouts.

Absolutely. I still haven't decided what time we'll be aiming to get there. But it will be early enough that there will be a whole lot of standing around with time to socialize!

Well, I didn't want to do this, but I've exhausted every solution I can think of. I'm going to have to report @core42 as a bad trader, for violating the cardinal trading rule of not making everyone else look bush league by comparison.

Here we go:



The Bruery Black Tuesday and Mocha Wednesday - Mega, mega wants. These are the kinds of beers where you enter Stout BIFs hoping to maybe get one. Could not believe it when I saw it.
Barrel Aged Old Rasputin - Permawant, always a winner, and one I haven't had in many years.
Modern Times City of the Dead - mega want, that looks awesome. Very excited to crack this one with some friends.
Clown Shoes Ohio Unidragon - Ohio Exclusive! Brought it to work today, as a coworker is a proud Ohio guy (for some reason). Sharing it with the team later today.
And crap, I'm at work now and didn't take notes on the last bottle. But it's a big cherry stout and sounds amazing.



Some awesome New Glarus - Wisconsin Belgian Red, Raspberry Tart, and Strawberry Rhubarb, because he is crazy generous so why the hell not!
Revolution Brewing Company - 2012 World Beer Cup gold stout, so yeah, that'll do.
Pugachev's Cobra Barrel Roll No. 3 - Holy shit.
Mission Dark Seas BBA imperial stout - Something he did a really great job of was sending me beers to pair when opening: verticals, similar taste profiles, and regular and barrel aged versions of the same beer. He did the latter with Dark Apparition, Plead the 5th, and now this one. That will make for a very fun tasting.



SCHWAG. His "oh, by the way beers were BBA Siberian Night, Aphrodite and Grande Noirceur, as well as some interesting local canned ciders. Then he tossed in that badass Bell's Java Stout mug (from the Saw movies, apparently) and another local taster glass. And some chocolate covered popcorn that my wife and I consumed in one sitting last night. Whoops.

Good God. Keep in mind this comes AFTER an earlier box with 15 smaller bottles and some amazing bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. What a haul, what a trader! Raising the bar, my friend, I was truly fortunate to have you draw my name this round.

Cherry Beer is 18th Street Cherry Hunter. It's amazing.

 

Incredible haul man, awesome job @core42! That last bottle in the first pic is Hunter Cherry from 18th Street, I've heard great things about the Hunter series.

And make sure you treat that Strawberry Rhubarb special, I hear it's been discontinued
