Please, please, please try and put the vintage or age info in your beer reviews if it would be applicable. If it is some IPA I wouldn't expect it but if it is something like Bigfoot why would you not include the year of the bottle.

I am sure there has got to be other people who check on reviews to see how beers they have are aging. Or maybe it is just me. I notice that more people put what type of glass they drank it out. I could care less about the glass, give me the age info. I think this is probably one of my biggest BA pet peeves.

If someone doesn't write the date I just assume the review date is the same as the vintage. But I'm not checking Bigfoot reviews either.

Why wouldn't it be applicable to all beer reviews, not just cellared ones but especially for those where freshness is considered important by most drinkers? I'd rather know that that the type of glassware used or which trader partner bought the beer originally.

A reasonable request, I believe. But to some the glass is as important as the vintage. I presume the age info the OP is requesting is the freshness dating. My plea to beer reviewers is to review to style [and yes, I know this is a plea that has been issued before] not to whether the beer was your personal favorite.

Well since I never have vintage beers due to lack of a cellar and/or money to buy aged beers, may not be a problem. Now I didnt put that i reviewed a 2012 Dark Lord. Just reviewed away. I assume no date is fresh, unless the flavors in the words of the reviews are wayyyyyy off.

I've tried to do this myself. I do it for everything. I think it's even more important for IPAs and such. Someone reviewing a year-old Pliny is not going to think it's nearly as nice as a fresh one.

I generally do this if I am reviewing a vintage. If I'm reviewing a fresh beer then I usually don't mention it. I assume many others do this as well.

Maybe this feature can be added to the new integrated site? Bottle date or vintage. I would def use it if it was there while filling out the review form.

I will do this for beers where I can easily determine dates, but I am not going to go out of my way to decipher special bottle codes or whatnot just to include a date in my reviews.

Some other things I like to see are bottle size and cost. If you had to trade for it, state that, or maybe even what you traded for it.

I would think bottle size is only appropriate for beers that come in multiple form factors (12 oz bottle, bomber, 750 ml, 12 oz can, 24 oz can) and I'm not really sure that I care that much about that... As for price, there is no way that I am going to keep track of what I pay for each and every beer when I might not review them for weeks/months/years later - I don't really care how much someone paid for it.
