Just curious what everyone believes is the best stout that's easy to get on the shelves. No special release type stuff, we all know about those.

At this point for me it is Yeti from Great Divide. I am sure others will have different opinions.

I would say Founders Breakfast Stout, but that is seasonal. Left hand Milk Stout?

I would say Yeti but its not distributed in my state. Founders and Left Hand are pretty widely distributed.

I'll be the first to vote for Sierra Nevada Stout. I would say Yeti and its variants are also very high on the list.

If we want to delve into sub-styles I probably have to vote for Old Raspy for RIS.

Old Raspy, Green Flash Double Stout, or Big Bear Black Stout.

    I can't decide!!

Wow, this is a tough one. Most stouts (imperial and otherwise) are either limited/seasonal or don't get distributed very widely. I'd have to say either Great Divide Yeti or North Coast Old Rasputin.

If we're including imports (not sure what the distribution on this is though), Wells & Young's Courage is seriously world-class.

Mine, personally is Sunny Side Up, though it's not readily available to others.

Old Raspy, hands down for RIS at least, especially for the price. Always available, always delicious.

Yeah I set say Old Rasputin...also Dark Horse Plead the 5th. Dragons Milk is great, but can't get it in Buffalo...Yeti has not impressed me yet, although I'm tempted to try the oak aged chocolate stout...

Tough choice because there are different kinds of stouts that are available year round. I like Young's Double Chocolate, Guinness Foreign Extra, Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, and Great Divide Yeti

OP, do you mean readily available to you, or readily available nationwide (or beyond)? A lot of people are throwing out beers that are available in maybe a dozen states or less (Brooklyn, Dark Horse, AleSmith). To me, that's not "readily available" for the purposes of a thread posted in Beer Talk...

I have to laugh. I can get Yeti but cannot get Founder's or Left Hand.
