You're right, I'd be 100% on board with this, and that's actually less than half of the 5pc plate. I guess I'm just not used to shared plates.

Tired Hands' beer isn't the new thing, it's the food at this place. Hence the conversation. Should we all be talking about HopHands?

Since it is such a competitive market I can definitely see chicken-gate being a significant setback for them.

They really gotta give on the whole no condiments thing too, I mean c'mon. I tried the fish tacos and while I thought they were pretty good, they were definitely a bit dry for my liking, even with the tiny drip of chipotle mayo they put on them

It is very very very very easy to sneak your own hot sauce into a restaurant.

That would be real funny if I brought in a bottle of Cholula or Sriracha and then other tables asked to borrow it and ended up passing it around to many folks.

This reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where he smuggled in his own maple syrup to the coffee shop for his pancakes!:grinning:

    Cheers!

After careful consideration, condiments are permitted but they must be Tired Hands condiments similar to their growler policy.

I love Tired Hands and wish I lived around the corner to drink their beer on a nightly basis but tacos are served with condiments. It doesn't matter what's in the taco or who's cooking it, there better be limes, red and/or green hot sauces, chopped cilantro/onion/radish. They didn't invent this thing in Ardmore.

We could talk about the new facilities where they are brewing the new beers. I got to talk to one of the brewers and he said the exciting thing was they could expand the range of what they do even more with the new facility. One thing he was excited to try was a...drumroll...lager! Which to me is exciting: I'd love to try a Tired Hands lager.

I bet it would go good with the fried chicken! :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe they will produce an unfiltered, unpasteurized Pilsner!?! If so, Woo-Hoo!!

    Cheers!

You actually have to get your condiment growler filled at the brew cafe, and then bring it over to the fermentaria if you want to use condiments. And it goes without saying that you sure as shit better use a Tired Hands branded condiment growler.

And folks, $26 for a splittable portion of fried chicken is in no way overpriced. That's what fried chicken is going for these days, though forcing you to get a portion for 2 if you want fried chicken is a bit annoying. If you haven't been in a Philly craft beer bar that serves fried chicken, you probably shouldn't be commenting on the price of the dish.

I'm sorry but no way I would spend $26 for fried chicken at Tired Hands. That is about $8 more than at Federal for the entire chicken and I think Federal is not worth it even though people make a big deal over it. I am shocked they did not go for good flatbreads but I realize that they have to be edgy and offer stuff like fried chicken and donuts. Makes me want to jump in the car and go lighten my wallet at Monks .

Went to TH, got the fried chicken. Very average; would rather go to Popeyes.
