    Hey Guys,

    No barrels used in making Cherry ****z. For longer aged sour beers (such as cherry ****z) I prefer stainless steel to try and achieve a leaner/brighter beer and to minimize acetic acid (vinegar) and acetone (nail polish). We tend to use oak barrel aging for shorter term beers with mixed fermentation (saisons, Berliners, etc).

    Oh yeah, one more thing, the "barrel" referenced in our description is actual referencing the method of measurement often used with beer.

    1 barrel=31 gallons

    Sorry for the confusion on that.

    thanks! Was hoping to get more info on the beers since the description was pretty sparse. What was the base beer on the Cherry ****z? How long was it in stainless steel for?

    I wish they weren't like 2.5 hours from my house so I could grab their beers. I need to shoot up there soon and check out all the LA places

    beer spent nearly 6 months without fruit, 3 months with fruit, and 2 months in the bottle.

    Thank goodness for that. I wish some other local sour breweries would cut back on the vinegar and nail polish.

    + Quote I've heard that there was a limit amount hitting the US but haven't heard or seen anything as of yet. I asked the liquor store that received Hommage if they had heard anything or were planning on getting some. He said he wasn't sure and the limited releases are random. So I guess I really haven't heard much.

    Valley Bev has Kumquat saison limit 1 ..
    Bills has it as well.. I believe bills has the other smog bottle too.
    No melrose yet at bills
