Coffee Is For Closers

    Anyone had this recently? I picked up a couple while traveling on business and thought it sounded amazing. I opened one today and get almost no coffee aroma or taste but do get a taste that makes me think something went wrong with this beer/batch. Has anyone else had this experience?

    Haven't had it yet but have several friends who loved it. Have a 4 pack sitting in the fridge right now.

    Had it a couple weeks ago and came away really impressed. One of their better beers IMO. Maybe an issue with the canning?

    I too had a few last week and thought it was the best offering from Fullsteam to date.

    I must have gotten a couple bad cans then, I love coffee porters/stouts and this was just bad so it must be mine. I was more curious if this was a widespread issue, which it doesn't sound like it is. I guess I will need to drink the other can tonight to make sure.

    Can anyone compare it to another coffee stout so I know what I am looking for? I thought this would be close to Surly Coffee Bender but the can I had obviously wasn't. Thanks

    I had it on draft and it was great, I'm looking for it in cans....anyone know of availability in the Triangle?

    Lurky lurk! To the OP, message me and I'll get you a replacement four-pack.

    Also note it's an "iced coffee porter" so it's not intended to be as toasty roasty as a stout. Coffee is modest.

    We have a new head brewer, Brian Mandeville. Y'all come swing by sometime!

    Picked up a can to try last weekend, drank earlier this week. Really fits the description of an iced coffee porter. Seems like a great coffee beer for warm weather.

    I had some at the brewery the other day. I really liked it. LOTS of coffee. Saw the cans at the Durham farmers market last weekend and they are very pretty.

    Also at Stella Brew. So yes.

    Had this at the brewery last weekend. Really enjoyed it. Not roasty as Sean mentioned but still some good coffee notes. Cheers!
