Normally a 32oz can, here in MN it is a 750ml can.

Growlette? Growler for women only??? And you put that inside a crowler? Is this like the turducken of the beer world? I'm so confused.

I believe that would be a growlère. I suppose that the 750 mL Minnesota* crowler really should be called a crowlette if we want to be consistent. I hope that future dictionaries credit this post as the first usage of those words.

    * I've only heard of it being used here -- at Sociable and Sisyphus -- due to our state's prohibition of the sinister 32 ounce growler size.

What's the price of Sisyphus' crowlettes?

Depended on the beer, but either $7 or $9, I believe only a $1 more than a growlette fill.

Sam mentioned to me he thought W.Coast IPA was the best beer he has brewed to date, that and his IIPA are some of the best IPA's I've had in the cities, looking forward to his Citra Session Pale Ale coming out on Wednesday

A post on a website of a certain SW MN brewery suggests they do 32oz. glass growlers. I am led to believe that is illegal under MN law at this time.

Yes. I can accept crowlettes as "bottles," but there doesn't seem to be any room to maneuver on the sizes. I'm sure that 32 ounce growlers would be very popular among Minnesota brewers if they were legal.

I've only been once, but I enjoyed my time there. The beer was solid for sure and I like the vibe in the place. I had a black ale and an oatmeal stout. I also had a few sips of an IPA and a blond ale. All of them were good.

No kidding! I knew he bought a whole load of citra hops recently. Didn't know his first new beer with those citra hops would be done so soon. Citra session pale ale sounds freaking awesome.

I thought they were a solid place originally in their first few months but now they are pumping out really good beer and have grown into one of the best taprooms in the cities IMO. The new Black IPA is also really tasty and that's not a style I usually gravitate towards either. It's fun to go in there and talk about beer with the beer enthusiasts, and Sam and Kat.

Anybody know about the longevity of crowlers? Are they more like cans (i.e. can I stick it in my fridge for a week or two before drinking) or more like tap-filled growlers (i.e. best to drink within a day or two)?

Crowlers I get filled around here are poured off the tap like a growler and then sealed. The cans sometimes have something that says to consume it within 7-10 days. If you went longer like a growler I would suspect it would be ok.

Anyone know if the citra session pa is still I'm for today? Don't see mention of it on the web site and I don't do Facebook.

Edit: I suppose it is the citra hop. I swear it wasn't on there 10 mins or so when I checked.
