I have tried several times to get something done on the trading forum, and have had zero interest. Can any of you RI guys tell me what the deal is with Proclamation? Are the quantities really limited?

I have been looking for both of the Harper I beers, and now I'm interested in Alpaca Magi as well. Anyway, thought I'd come here to see if anyone is familiar with this brewery.

    Thanks.

I believe Proclamation only opens when they have beer. No set retail hours. I also know Harper I, their saison, and Derivative went to distro. No sure about the other sour you mentioned. I live in SE Mass and have been waiting patiently for them to increase availability.

Retail hours are typically Friday 5-8pm and Saturday 1-5pm only, however they have been closed a few weekends recently due to first pouring at the EBF in Boston, then this past weekend a new brewhouse was installed. The Rhode Island state law only allows take out sales of 72 ounces or less, so that limits availability in addition to the actual brewery size.

While I have recently seen Derivative and Plattelander in stores and know that Tendril will soon be in distro, I am not aware of Harper I seeing distro at the area stores. And Alpaca Magi I have never even heard of, so this must be "super super" limited.

Don't get there very often, but next time I do and if Harper I is available I'll let you know...

Harper I has come and gone. Dave from Proclamation posted today on their Instagram that Alpaca Magi is bottle conditioning and is about a month from release. Other brews like Derivative, which is fantastic, and Tendril, which is also really damn good, are regularly available at the brewery with limited local distro. I go frequently and would be happy to grab you some in the future @LFinCO if you want to work something out.......

I found a Derivative a few weeks ago at a local store in Narragansett. Was pretty impressed with it. It was a 22oz bottle. Never really going through Kingston at the right time to catch the brewery so far.

Nikki's may still have the saison. I thought they got Harper? I may be wrong. They got Derivative and was gone fast.

If Zzzzzz Lumber is ever available again, Get It!! IMO it's a better bourbon barrel stout than BCBS and KBS.

I've seen a fair amount of Derivative around as well as Plattelander bottles. Both really good.

Do Proclamation bottles - when distro'd - go to the whole state or just towns close to the brewery? Wondering if I can find some the next time I visit family in Barrington & Cranston...

Near Cranston, if only around occasionally your best bet would probably be I.M. Gan on Warwick Avenue, Warwick. I was there maybe several weeks back and saw some bottles...seems like the Proclamation bottles last a little longer there. You can try Nikki's in Providence on the way, but like MVP09 alluded to above it tends to disappear fast at that shop.

    Hey guys.

Just figured I'd clear up any questions on here:

    1. We have been pretty much sending a mixed bag of 60-80 cases a month the last few months out to stores in (mostly) the RI area. The bottled stuff (for now) is all large format and either barrel aged/sours/Derivative.

    2. We open almost every weekend from 5-8 Friday/1-5 Saturday. We're currently leaving nanoland and putting a random sized 9ish bbl brewhouse in. Stuff will become more available into the summer.

    3. Harper I Apricot batch 2 is bottled and we have about 80 cases conditioning at the brewery atm. Will release late May/Early June. It needs to go through it's trials and tribulations in the bottle before it's ready to go out. A lot of the sours we do go through some reallly funky off-flavors as they condition.

    4. Amazing Adventures of The Alpaca Magi hasn't been released yet. It got bottled 2 days before Harper I (Batch 2) expect it around the same time. .. late May / Early June.

And for the record the Plattelander bottle I grabbed a couple weeks ago was great. You're right to want some of this stuff. Best beers coming out of RI in my opinion.
