I'll never understand the audacity and ridiculousness of some BAs on this site. I'm not even gonna ask for ya'lls opinion or should I call this guy out, I'm just gonna- @77apm is one of the most gracious people in all of beer. I inquired about Town Hall Brewing publicly on a thread in which he was ISO. He kindly answered, and offered to hook it up next time he went up. Last week out of the blue he hits me up asking for my address to send me a growler, no worries I say I've got ya covered next time I come across something solid or some crowlers from these parts as I know he likes those from another ISO he posted. He says that he wants nothing in return, just for me to BIF. Cool, I'm thinking, I can do that, easy enough. An 18-20 pound box, inside a box, w 4 boxes inside of that w a Town Hall growler, 6 TG IPAs and Ales I've never tried, some NG, and something else I can't remember shows up at the crib.. My poor wife had to carry em up the stairs as I was out to seminar- she not happy, but dear god I was floored! C'mon man. What are you thinking?! I love reading these kinds of posts, as I saw that @pmoney recently called someone out as well for a tremendous deed, and in that spirit I couldn't let this go. Revenge will be mine!
Anytime my friend!! I drink TG by the case but I never forget to hook people up with some also. You were the 3rd BA to receive a TG box that size within the past couple days!! I'm still gonna tell ya to BIF! And @nograz, I did stop at Barley Johns quickly and left with a half growler of Dark Knight. I damn near passed out when the guy told me the price but did hand over the credit card. Holy Christ was that an amazing whiskey barrel porter!! I gotta try some others on the next trip!
Their porter, the base beer for the Dark Knight, is fantastic. It is also a lot cheaper! But yeah, Dark Knight is fantastic. If you have no been, try Sisyphus. They have some great beets and now have 750ml crowlers.
Sisyphus was on my list to stop at but ran out of time. I will make it a point the next time I visit my sister in a couple months. What do you recommend from them?
