um, I think you're laying it on a bit heavy there

I don't know.. I'm in the other camp. I have an extremely busy schedule, yet I don't find it that hard to order beer online. Quite easy actually.

The things people complain about in this thread are pretty hilarious to me sometimes.

Someone should do a series like this except for society member bitching in this thread:

I actually don't disagree with you - given this particular issue, I am definitely making a mountain out of a molehill.

That said, I'm doing that mostly just to point out another example of the Bruery's steadily declining professionalism and communication practices. You can read back on this thread, or even just look at my personal posting history, to find numerous discussions on other (admittedly far more abrasive) examples.

I missed out on SITRwP as well. Was waiting on the reminder email. Bummed but after DLD I kinda needed this break.

I've contacted the Bruery maybe a half dozen times in two years. Nothing but the utmost professionalism, and always very friendly. It's quite possible you've only seemed to deal with that one jerk or someone always having a bad day, but I think 'steadily declining' is a bit much.

I got my SitR w/Peaches right away because it was highly anticipated by myself.

Having said that, they have ALWAYS sent a last chance reminder email, and it's very odd they didn't do that this time and I can understand folks getting used to relying on it.

Yeah, I've never had anything but great interactions with the people who work there. Maybe it's just me, but if someone is always waiting until the last minute then it seems to me that it shouldn't be a surprise that eventually they going to miss out on something. Just my 2 cents.

I have read this thread, and other threads. I've been a member for years now. I just disagree that they are declining in professionalism. I think it's the opposite actually. They are constantly improving.

From my standpoint the sense of entitlement and drama that the most minute things bring about is humorous. Not sure how else to respond to it. I genuinely find it funny. It doesn't matter what move the Bruery makes, or how they word an email, there will always be 20 armchair Society managers on here complaining about how difficult it's made their lives, and what they would have done differently.

    It makes for good reading

So youre in a society to buy beer, but u need to be reminded to buy beer? Makes sense.

If it weren't for the fact that the purchase window was so short and not aligned with the standard sale period, I feel that the lack of reminder email would be less of an issue. Seems like maybe the person who is in charge of sending out the emails even forgot that it was about to end.

I'll say this and leave it alone.

If you have a lot of stuff going on, then why not set your own reminder? YOU control what you have to do. Using the Dr appointment someone mentioned earlier, yes, they remind me a day before but as a grown man I also put that reminder in my phone so I don't forget about it.

If you know your habit is to wait until the 11th hour, you should either try to buy earlier or set your own reminders.

That being said, if all of you missed out, that means they have tons of bottles left over, I would be surprised if we see a second chance on Monday.

Second chance would be tits. I know some people that would like a bottle but I'm a greedy bitch that can't stomach the thought of trading/selling half my initial allocation.

I'm greedy with all my Bruery beers. Even the ones I don't absolutely love. I paid $300 for the chance, I'm not letting go that easily.

What was today's online beer? I don't see any updates, but I may have missed it.

Have they been doing much second chance/excess sales? I haven't really noticed all that much extra allocations being sold after the initial allocation window runs out. Maybe for one or two beers only so far who's name escape me. But yeah, that use to be a bigger thing. Oh well. Even more reason why I just jump on it early.
