I'm looking to trade for some older vintages to complete a couple smaller verticals but not really sure where to start. Obviously the older a beer is the harder it's going to be to find. Should I expect to go over $4$ with more recent beers of similar availability or does it really just depend on finding "the right set of eyes". I'm currently looking for '13 FW Double DBA and '10 & '11 BCBS. Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
the BCBS have been hard for me to come by. I have been looking to build out a vert as well and I guess I am just offering the wrong stuff
Older vintages will generally take more to get, how much depends on what you want. What you're looking for shouldn't be too hard to get. What you should worry about more is how these beers have been stored and how many times have they been shipped/traded? The "bedroom closet" cellar may be the best option many people have, but it's not ideal for storing beers long term (4-5 years), and shipping beer can subject them to some big temperature changes. Just my 2 cents.
