If Opuntia (tequila barrel aged) is anything to go by... Fortuna is going to be mind blowing. Opuntia was the best beer I drank in 2014.

Man, this Raspberry Sour is fruit forward, juicy, tart. It is an excellent beer. Stands right up to Petite Sour Raspberry, imo. I almost can't believe that it will be available year round.

I really dug it ... each of the listed "flavors" in and of themselves could seem aggressive and off-putting ... together it was really, REALLY nice. Surprisingly good as the tequila barrel aging scares me  Myrcenario scared me too when I read about it ... drinking it however was another story ... incredible! Nice job to both groups on rocking those tequila barrels ...

Fortuna - Best Avery BA release since Opuntia. Fruity, salty, tequila goodness. My only complaint is I wish it had a bit more body.

Insula - Tooth meltingly sour. I get very little fruit and no vanilla. I do think this drinks better as it warms up
Tectum - A solid sour, but one of the weaker BA offering

On a sidenote, I was really surprised by Petit Sour Tart Cherry. I was underwhelmed by the previous two Petits: I thought that Raspberry was too "jammy", and Blackberry had too little fruit. Tart cherry was a perfect amount of fruit and barrel. Really good stuff.

haven't had fortuna just yet, but I couldn't agree more with this statement. I am really looking forward to Petite Blueberry on Wednesday.

When will #29 come out...... My wallet could use a nice long layoff....

Looks like it will be coming up soon... and a much smaller case amount.

Raspberry Tart is the gold standard for me for Raspberry sours, as it doesn't taste artificial at all- just pure raspberry awesomeness. Avery's Raspberry Sour is the closest I've seen another get. It's really great stuff.

If Fortuna is being compared to Opuntia, I'm gonna need to get my hands on a lot.

My Tectum smells and tastes like burnt popcorn. There's a nice sour under there somewhere, but under a ton of burnt popcorn. :slight_frown:
