It was packed as hell but I didn't have to wait in line. I got there at 5 sharp though which I think was when they started tapping them. I know the bottles ran out super quick, kegs eventually tapped, but I don't remember how long it took.

Glad it's in OC but why must they always have it on a week day? I can only justify taking so many days off for beer.... This will be one of them.

F Migration week. It's just a reason to over charge for vintage BCBS.

I don't care. I very rarely get to hit beer events and I'm a Bourbon County fanboi so I'm gonna overpay like a mofo and smile the entire time.

More power to you. I don't judge. I went to the provisions one and paid something like $60 for multiple vintages which included rare. The problem for me is my palate is a weak and after a few pours I couldn't appeciate the beers. I tried the barleywine and thought it was shit. On a fresh palate it's my favorite barrel aged barleywine EVER.

    Go balls deep and enjoy!!!!

Edit: my first post was after a few beers so take that with a grain of salt, but I won't drop a bunch of cash on a bunch of 4 oz pours again.

I agree wholeheartedly. Drinking the barleywine after a stout or stout variant kills the the barleywine. Fresh palate and it's my favorite too.

I was amazed at how long everything lasted . If that was in so cal everything would have kicked in 30 minutes or less. Its amazing how long beers last here. Cbs lasted for 3-4 days at certain places. It was like heaven sorta haha

Are there any chances to buy anything or just on tap and bottle pours?

They'll have bottles of Honker's Ale for sale, limits 2 though so you better bring a mule.

Events in SF so far have been fairly well attended but not a total s show. Had as much vanilla as I wanted Monday and as much prop as I wanted today, showing up a few minutes after the start time for both.

Today's event at 83 Proof (Prop & Coffee) had bonus small Vanilla pours upstairs, they carried in one case to share and talk beers. Most generous. Def. not a s show. Got in one hour early (not needed) but they were pouring already - just awesome.

Really looking forward to the OC week to see if I can't taste some variants!

FYI, for those in The City, Amsterdam Cafe still has vanilla on tap. Just stopped by.
