What beer are you drinking now? #930

almost anything he can get get his paws on.
Lately he's been trying to get me to buy more local beers. Recently the Good Nature Brown Ale had caught his eye and he thinks I should try their blonde ale soon too. The couple Cortland Beers I recently won't be my last.

Time for dessert!! Having another first time beer with Zonker Stout. Big shoutout to @JayWhitson for hooking me up. Tons of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel in the aroma and the taste follows suit. Very nice!

Going big on this next one Anthem Brandywine barrel aged Uroboros, lucked into a bottle yesterday. It's bucketing rain here. Raising this to all of our WWII vets living or dead. Still VE day here for another 26 minutes!

Enjoying some Hop Hunter toniht while I enjoy Derrick Rose's buzzer beater and the Clippers destroying the Rockets.

 

Not bad. Very malt forward which isnt a bad thing. Some nice caramel, maybe some melon and a nice bitterness. I have 5 more to go

I've had issues with yeast in my GI tract, so I haven't been able to have much beer (except for some O'Douls here and there). Tonight since I've started to get better I can have a beer every now and then until it's finally dissolved.

Good to hear -- Castaway IPA is one of the four beers in their variety pack that I have in my fridge right now, so I imagine it won't be too much longer before I try one now that I've opened the pack!

 

Bell's Saturn Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine. The look and mouthfeel makes this beer seems lighter than it is at 11.5% abv. But the aroma and flavor are more per the style. Get slightly hot bourbon, vanilla, very slight coconut, charred oak, carmel, toffee, and dark cherry. Needs some age to get rid of the slight heat, but still tasting very nice. The mouthfeel makes it too drinkable imo (too light). Still the best that has come out of the planet series. Cheers!

 

I have a bottle of that thanks to the generosity of @Vitacca. I am very much looking forward to it.
