There's a bunch out there right now. What are you loving?

I'm not as high on Redbud as others, but it's a fine beer. It's under the radar a bit, but I really dig the Waterloo from Black Star! The apricot works really well! Go have this before it's gone.

For those road warriors...if you find yourself in GA, you need to get some Creature Comforts Athena. One of the best I've had! The locals rave about their IPA, but I think it's a notch below the best in Texas. The Athena is fantastic!

The Live Oak Berliner is my favorite so far of the Texas ones I've had (Einhorn, Red Bud, Boiler Room).

Yo Soy is supposed to be Freetail's canned summer seasonal.

    Actionable.

I plan to take swift and decisive action against the contents of said cans.

Edit to actually add to the thread: Live Oak Berliner is insanely good, as expected.

Live Oak's is by far the best Texas Berliner released. :grinning:

I wasn't previously aware of that Eddie Izzard bit until I just looked it up, but it is indeed referring to the same speech! We put our own San Antonio twist on it and that's how we came up with the name Yo Soy Un Berliner. The first we released it, I gave out a few signed pictures of JFK (signed by me, not JFK), wonder if anyone still has them.

So that's news to me about the black star Berliner. I will be there this week then I suppose lol. And yeah I second the creature comforts Athena. A damned fine example and a crazy good mouthfeel that reminds me of westbrook gose. Not the taste, just the mouthfeel, it was nice and full. I tried their tropicalia, and while it's good it's not as good as the hype would suggest imo.

I'm digging the red bud. Still need to try the destihl counter clockwise Berliner.

Everyone I talked to in GA thought the Tropicalia was the best IPA they'd ever had. Didn't see it at all.

The Destihl Counter Clockweise is damn sour. It's like the Warheads of beers.

I liked it, just not even top 10 best ipa's I've ever had. It was fresh too.

I've only tried the Red Bud so far & have loved it. Definitely ready to try some more. I love the style.

Yeah man, the CounterClockweisse is really good!
I think it might edge out Redbud due to mouthfeel, both are great. Throw in Live Oak's berliner (I hope it returns and gets canned next year), and we're in a great time for berliners here.

Then add in Destihl Gose, Victory Kirsch Gose, and Yo Soy coming in cans
It's already allowed me to cut back on trading.

I got a 4 pack from that bad batch. Smells like puke, tastes like vinegar/cheese.

    No me gusta.
