Wasn't it "confirmed" that there was a Sour Blonde and BB Kriek coming as two of the other R&D?

Today being Monday, has anyone been to NG and saw if any Wild Bitter were left?

Yes there is still quite a bit left. Still a limit of 2 per person.

I haven't been hearing anything that's really confirmed.

At the Milwaukee Tale of the Spotted Cow event Deb mentioned that she came up with a flavor/fruit combo that she wanted to see if Dan could do. He said he did it and it would be released for the great taste. They of course kept the flavor/fruits a secret.

I'd imagine that Wild Bitter lasts through the weekend. I was there around closing time yesterday and today and it didn't look like they'd sold much of it in the time between.

The reason there are bottles left after Saturday is entirely based on what Wild Bitter does not have. It does not have the trade cachet that Wild Peach, etc have. Yeah there are some trades occurring for Wild Bitter but if there were ISO posts pre-release where people were willing to trade all sorts of crazy beers for it, all the WB bottles would have sold out each day. Let's face it, a good number of people who attend limited bottle releases (along with their mules) are only interested in trading the bottles away for other beers. If these same people don't see any potential trade value for a limited release, they're not going to put in the effort for it, especially given the location of New Glarus. I like the fact there are bottles of Wild Bitter left over. This gives anyone who is interested in trying the beer a decent chance of obtaining them. IMO two bottles per person are plenty for this any any future R&D release (assuming ~ 4500 count). So there are left over bottles in the Depot? Big deal, they'll sell over the course of the next week if not sooner.

I honestly think that the bigger reason it isn't sold out is that it just didn't sound like a good beer. Early reviews were not very good either. Just more of a demand for a fruited sour than whatever this bitter is. Not many people live close to NG so it takes something special to get people to make the long drive for a 2 bottle release.

Anyone close to New Glarus that could get me a couple bottles at the depot?

I agree wholeheartedly with Jaycase. But also, if it would name been "Very Sour (different fruit)" then the chaos would ensue. And I think it will again with whatever the public deems as the most exciting next release. Whether that's BB Kriek (if/when it is a 500ml brewery only release or not)

Wild Bitter still at depot today. Same 2 bottle limit per person/per day applies.

Anybody wanna bet that NG saves BB Kriek for GTOMW weekend? I think there is gonna be one hell of a demand for that R&D release.

I would say the opposite...they would be better off selling one with potentially less demand that weekend.

That would have been wild bitter. It will be the beer that is most ready at that time.

Good point. Should have saved Wild Bitter for that weekend then I guess.

Was just there this morning... 5/13... still a stack of 100 cases in the depot. This'll be around for the great taste.
