This is tough. I don't think I have any beer that I think people really hate that I do love. Closest for me is beers that I feel are underappreciated in their representation here. Example: Smog City Coffee Porter. It is rated 89, but I rarely see it on here that often. I love it.

Beers you can actually buy at a local store everyday.

So YOU'RE the other one buying DuClaw beer. Thought I was the only one!

I predict a lot of macro entries in this thread.. but yeah, seriously, if I saw Michelob in a cooler, I'd grab it. It's Bud with "better ingredients".

Guinness. Not everyone hates it, but it gets a lot of hate here. It was one of my favorite beers from well before I turned 21, and I still enjoy pint. It's not some crazy exploding with flavor barrel aged imperial stout, but its a good easy drinking beer with a great mouthfeel and a nice taste.

Michelob Amber Bock is pretty decent for the price. I mean you dont taste adjuncts so thats a big plus right there.

Michelob Ultra. If it wasn't so embarrassing, I'd actually stock some in my fridge. Not a great beer by any means, but it brings back good family memories.

I'm with you on that. Granted, I don't buy it all that often (better than 95% of what I drink is homebrew) but I'd be sad if Michelob went away. It's really well made and quite good (especially since they returned to an all-malt recipe 7-8 years ago).

The other commercial beer is one that I liked (to my own surprise, actually) but which received heaps of predjudice from the snobs: Budweiser American Ale. Never thought I'd say it, but it was not a bad brew at all, at a very good price (and I found it especially good on draft).
I was a bit disappointed when it was discontinued.

So, yeah...screw the haters! I don't give a damn if the brewery is nano, micro, macro, or mega.
There's brewers in every one of those categories making fine beer (as well as brewers in every one of those categories making drek).

KBS. I know it seems "loved," but it's really been catching hate lately among the more hardcore beer community. I'll always love it though.

I don't care what anyone says, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy on a hot day on the golf course hits the spot.

My buddy that only drinks Mich Ultra even makes fun of me for that one.

A very good friend of mine almost exclusively drinks the Original for all the thirty years I have known him. He takes a sip of our beers every once in a while. I have seen him drinking Ultra a few times and cursing Anheuser Busch for it. Original is a very fine beer in its style.

Two Widmer entries for me; Upheaval (I think it's better than Sculpin for instance) and Citra Blonde (this is a crusher during the hot months).

I think most is because of who makes it.

Chile beers and Two Roads beers in general are beers I tend to like a lot more than most.
