Their beer finder page never works for me and when I follow the link for the android app there's never been anything there either....

Glad it's not just me. Actually can't remember the last time it worked for me (iPhone). Even when sitting in the brewery, that damn thing can't find their beers.

Just picked up a few bottles today in York, PA. If it's in York then it should be everywhere in Pennsylvania by now.

Where did you find it in York, as I happen to be in York today?

Also, the physical web version of the beer finder doesn't offer Sour Monkey as a search option. Haven't seen this in Pittsburgh.

Did you clean them out? We're basically neighbors.

Nah, just took two, looks like they just put the case out plus there were some on the shelf behind the counter.

Anybody got any idea when it'll make its way south to VA?

Well, I just went over to the brewery to grab lunch and a couple bottles. Ended up convincing myself I needed a case and a pour with lunch. It is really tasty. Almost imperceptible that Golden Monkey is the base but you do get the very slightest hint of that belgian clove/banana/sugar taste at the very end. A very tiny tiny hint. Its nicely tart up front. Not funky, but tart almost like their Kirsch Gose but with a lot more complexity. Incredibly refreshing and drinkable and very dangerous at 9.5% Seek this out. [IMG]

Yup.... For some reason everyone thinks Brett = sour when it does not.

I like wild devil but love fear of a Brett planet

    Enjoy

    A 9.5% sour? Count me in 100%.

Can someone maybe compare this to what they think is a similar beer? Trying to gauge what this will taste like before I decide how much I'm going to be buying.

Awesome name, but probably a copyright infringement on the Beasties "Brass Monkey" lyrics.

Got to agree this is good new. I thought the Kirsch Gose was exceptionally excellent for cherry flavored Gose. Never a huge fan of the Golden Monkey, but soured it may be pretty interesting. I'll probably give it a try if $15 or less.

At the brewery on draft didn't taste a whole lot like golden monkey. It was definitely sour, but with a tinge Belgian yeast. Pretty good stuff, wasn't sure what to expect. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you like sours. Picked up a bottle for $9 at the brewery shop

Had a glass at the pub on Sunday -- kind of reminded me of a Gose. Not overly sour, and way too easy drinking for 9.5%
