I was wondering if they were gonna use Iron Heart like most breweries around here. Makes sense then why it took them so long. Really hoping the cans are available like they are at Carton. Wouldn't want to wait in line like at other half.

I think this will be more like Carton. Other Half has gotten insane.

While not the end all be all, it's a very encouraging sign there are barcodes on those cans.

Awesome! Great looking can! Cannot wait!

Ditto. Overhead would be great and my first choice of what I would like in a Kane can.

Mike's not an idiot, it's going to cost $12ish is my guess

That's what I was thinking. $12 is a fair price.

They could probably get $16 if they wanted. But I dont think it will be that high.

I know the plan always was to get their own canning line (otherwise they could have already been canning w/ Iron Heart), so my guess is they purchased one or are in the process.

edited because those cans probably aren't delivered to the brewery yet and just a mock-up of the design since if you examine the picture closely the wrapper isn't sealed tightly around the top of the cans.

my thinking is that Boat Beer is $11 and 077xx is $12/4-pack, so Kane can't be too far off those prices

Cannot wait!!!! I absolutely love that beer and itll be nice to have a good amount of it outside of a growler that has to be consumed either in a larger quantity or faster.

I was told they don't want to use a mobile canning line. When I tweeted them "When will Overhead be available in cans?"

@beertography @gjachts @kanebrewing Probably once their expansion is finished. MORE good beer will be flowing soon

Sounds like they are in the process of putting in a canning line

Awesome news. I hope they can other beer, maybe seasonals/limited releases like Carton does.

Probably still take less time for me to drive to Kane then to Other Half and deal with that up-and-coming shitshow. I live 20 miles from Other Half but traffic on the BQE and Belt make the trip close to an hour and a half each way. I can get to Kane in just under 2 hours.

    Excited!
