Other Half Brewing

This was Town & Country right? I thought it was a decent brew. Got a grape skin, toasty crust off the nose with some earthy tree bark. The upfront taste is roasty which threw me off a bit (the beer is amber, but still). It mellowed into a citrusy cereal. A little funk sprinkled in and there.

Granted it seems that page hasn't been updated in a very long time.

 

Had the first of my 4 AGE cans last night and it is definitely not tasting as good as on tap. I found that I was really tasting the booze on this one, whereas normally I think it hides it extremely well. I felt like the balance was just a bit off. My GF even went so far as to give me most of the half she was drinking, whereas normally you'd have to pry a glass of AGE from her cold, dead hands. In all the drama over the can release I haven't seen many comments on the actual beer. Anyone else finding the same thing?

Mosaic is tasting absolutely wonderful however.

 

I agree with this. AGE taste a little off to me. It really blew me away on tap, the cans still great but not as good as I've had.

Mosaic I absolutely love, probably my favorite of the 3 single hop cans.

Is it safe to assume that cans of anything are no longer available at the brewery?

 

Not atm.

But there should be more cans of something there next week-end.

 

Next weekend as in May 23rd? I'm headed up to NYC this weekend, May 16th, and was hoping to pick some stuff up.

 

Yes. There will definitely not be cans this weekend. Last weekend's cans sold out in just a few hours. And they said they will be having new cans every 2 weeks, so the next release will likely be the May 23rd weekend.

 

Totally off topic, but the way you write "week-end" makes me think you're writing it in an English accent. Which brightened my evening.

 

Ha my one friend gives me shit for using a hyphen. That's the way I learned it!
