I've never had a port wine but I know many people say Trois Pistoles has a port taste to it and I love that beer so i was wondering what are some other beers with that similar taste......how about Kasteel Donker? Any others?

Older editions of Thomas Hardy fit that bill.

Samael's from Avery. Really, really tastes like port. It's also fantastic.

Pretty much any beer I've tried that has been "cellared" has some degree of an oxidized, port-wine taste.

Didn't get any port taste from Trois Pistoles. Just people over analyzing the taste of their beer, imo.

This. Not just kinda like port, but like you could actually mistake it for port, especially since many bottles have virtually no carbonation (which works well with this beer)

I can't disagree with this more.

DL = sugar, bacon, green apples, -beetuss.

To the OP: I've found that many aged Old Ales and BW's will result in tawny characteristics. I have yet to have a beer I'd use as a substitute to any variation of Porto wines, so it's hard to answer your question confidently.

My advice to the OP, try a port. There are numerous styles. There are many beers out there that have port-like characteristics. Many of these being characteristics of tawny ports.

Had a pint of Fuller's Golden Pride a while ago-this is more or less a cask version of Vintage Ale-and it reminded me very much of tawny port.So did the second pint if I remember correctly.
