'bout time! From BR: We are happy to announce a recent expansion at Brewery Rickoli in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We have (not so) sadly put our two hard worked homebrew keg based systems to rest after two and one half years of service and over 1800 kettle fills between them. After producing nearly three hundred barrels of beer last year alone, we have put together a simple, but very nice and efficient Three barrel brew house that includes: 3 bbl Hot liquor tank gas fired 3 bbl Kettle – gas fired a 7bbl milk keeper for mash…. new 60 plate heat ex, and a new sani pump, brewline, and all that as well as two 7bbl old brown grundys that we will use as fermenters for now and have totally reconditioned them! We are excited to increase production to meet the incredible demand we have seen for our beers that are all crafted to have gluten levels below 10ppm. We’re talking Much more better beer, faster! Cheers!
I drive by that place daily and haven't stopped in... Mainly due to the sign... I know, right? Anyways, how is their beer? All I know is they have a gimmicky IPA with 1000 IBUs or something.
I couldn't be happier, one of the most underrated breweries with about the worst tap/tasting room & branding (almost as bad location) in Denver. But great beer. Happy to support them more!
One of those places I keep meaning to visit but keep forgetting. The beers I've had from them have been quite good, too. Guess I have more motivation to head over now.
If you don't like the sign, you will barf on yourself when you see the interior decor. That place is such a weird mixture of crap hanging off the walls and ceiling. That said, my gluten-intolerant wife loves their beer... will continue to support them.
My first visit they had a bunch of BA beers and not a bad one in the bunch. I've been back a couple times and it's been a little more ho-hum. Not bad, but nothing was great like that first visit. Monolith isn't bad, I missed the BA bottle release unfortunately. Thrilla in Vanilla was originally good, but it seemed to be less so each time I tried it. I'm definitely not opposed to going back and trying them again, décor aside. Especially during Broncos games.
